On monday evening, I bought $1000 dollar worth of bitcoin from the website BitMyMoney.com. I was going to send this bitcoin to an exchange so I could trade my bitcoins for altcoins. It's now wednesday, three days later, and I still don't have access to my bitcoin. In the mean time, the price of the altcoins I intended to buy has skyrocketed, while at the same time the value of bitcoin has rapidly been going down hill.

I have contacted BitMyMoney multiple times over the past few days and each time, if I'm lucky enought that they respond, they manage to come up with new excuses for why I don't have access to my bitcoins. They also promised me multiple that I would have my bitcoins by a certain time, but when that time came I still did't have my bitcoins, so they keep breaking their promises.

According to my calculations, due to BitMyMoney denying me access to my bitcoin since monday I've missed out on at least $2000 dollar in profits, because I wasn't invest able to invest that money in the altcoins I wanted to buy before the price and demand for altcoins skyrocketed.

BitMyMoney's latest promise was that I would get access to my bitcoins this afternoon, but it's evening now and I still don't have access to my bitcoins.
This means I will have to wait another day, because they closed their office at 5pm.

I'm not sure if I will ever see my bitcoin or the money that I paid, but at least I can warn other people to not buy bitcoin from their website BitMyMoney.com.
I do know that I'm not the only victim of this company, because I've seen a lot of similar complaints about them on Dutch social media websites.

Now that I've received my Bitcoins and got to cool down a bit, I decided to move on from the situation and delete my review(s). Apparently that's not possible on this site, so instead of deleting it, I want to add the following:

Earlier today I spoke on the phone with a female representative from BMM. She gave me a detailed explanation of the technical difficulties they’d been experiencing since Monday and how they’d been trying to fix the situation. At the same time they had to deal with an influx of impatient and angry customers (like me) who were worried their money was gone and demanded instant access to their bitcoins. According to the representative on the phone, those technical difficulties have now been resolved.

During our phone conversation I realized, while the past few days have been very stressful for me, they’ve probably been even more stressful for the people at BMM. I am therefore going to end this review on a positive note. While I’m still disappointed about what happened, in the end I received the bitcoins I paid for, so I believe BMM is in fact a trustworthy company. It just seems like this week they got overwhelmed by things beyond their control and bought my bitcoin at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Finally received my bitcoins

After 63 hours I finally received my bitcoins. Afterwards they called me so I thought I was getting an apology, but instead they started complaining that I was cyberstalking them with negative reviews, even though everything written in this review describes exactly what happened and they broke multiple promises of when I would get what I payed for. I hang up mid conversation, because I'm tired of dealing with this company. They tried to call me back a couple of times so I blocked their number and hope I will never have to deal with this business ever again, and live happily ever after. Case closed.
