BJS VISA/BARCLAY BANK LIED TO 3 TIMES OVER $25 REBATE. WROTE TO BACLAY BANK PRES. RESULT: LIES AND RUN AROUND!!! WILMINGTON, Delaware

The following is my letter sent to the Executive Office of the President/Barclays Bank, PO Box 8885, Wilmington DE. 19899: Dear Sir: I renewed my BJ's membership online and applied and was approved for a BJ's Visa card, on the phone, on 2/5/11. I asked repeatedly if I would receive my $25 rebate. The answer was YES and it would appear on my first statement. When my statement arrived there was no rebate. When I called customer service, I was told that I didn't qualify because I didn't renew my membership by 1/31/11. I was told that I would receive a rebate. What is going on? The agent on the phone said to write to you to check the phone records. End of letter. The only deadline on the rebate form was 2/5/11. The lies are as follows: 1. the agent lied to me about getting the rebate, 2. The form I received stated the rebate deadline was 2/5/11 -nothing more. 3. The President's response letter stated that "they called me several times, but were unable to reach me". I have caller ID. I have no record of their call on 3/23/11 or 3/24/11 (888-232-0780) as stated by Chris, another agent I called. After writing to the President, all I got was the phone number for customer service and more lies. Chris, the agent, even stated that my phone # wasn't on the letter (trying to get out of the lie about the phone calls) I called her bluff, and yes they had it. This Is a warning to you all. Stay away from BJ'S VISA/BARCLAY BANK!!!
