Bob Collett Auto Unethical and unprofessional business practices Ripoff Louisville Kentucky

My car was towed from The Castle Condominiums (Louisville) on 4/14/00. I lived there and the lot is private.

I found out it was towed by Bob Collett, a shady local used car dealer. A guy there named Gary put in for a storage title and got one. I was NEVER contacted on where my vehicle was. How could pay a tow fee if I didn't know where the car was?

I know they are required to inform the owner within ten days. But they didn't. He could have written, emailed or called and I would have responed immediately. He KNEW where I lived. I was in the book.

Gary knew the law, and since my tags were expired, he used the last address it was registered under instead of my current address. Knowing I wouldn't get any mail that he supposedly sent, he would wind up with the car due to no response.

Is this not theft? The taking of something that belongs to somebody else, illegally or without the owner's permission. That is stealing. Can I tow a vehicle and sit on it for a while, then apply for a title because I haven't heard from the owner? NO.
