Started with serpentine belt 85 to fix and then once repaired would not start then claimed it was crank shaft sensor paid 131 to fix wouldn't start said must be timing belt so paid 300 and timing belt still intact only jumped so it was still intact but he only put in new belt nothing else. Once fixed it started and drove about ten miles and serpentine belt started shredding took to different mechanic and learned two pullys damaged also no new water pump which should have been included in timing belt kit.  Two pullys and new serpintine belt 150.  John refused to answer calls first two days ... Claims all parts were bought and correct price given but will not provide receipts and claims 35 dollar timing belt cost 150.

The work was done on the side of the interstate on a rainy day. There serpentine belt was broken and spun around the crankshaft pulley so far it was under the timing belt cover. I pulled out what I could see and replaced there belt. They drove off and befor they could make it to the exit ramp it died on them again. I examined under the hood and found the serpentine belt had come off the pulleys half way. There plug in port for a diagnostic machine didn't work. They took it to a part house to get there existing check engine light checked and couldn't. I found the blown fuse and replaced it. I ran the scan and it showed an issue with the crankshaft sensor. They had it towed to the wife's work off merchants center drive. I came out and replaced the sensor and the car ran for a day. I came back out it the pouring rain and found the timing belt had slipped. I gave them an option to get it fixed as a complete kit or just a belt. I found a bad idler pulley that looked like the issue with the serpentine belt. They opted for the less expensive option. I replaced the timing belt and fixed the issue. I replaced the idler pulley and had the same issue with the serpentine belt. I showed her husband the issue and took the pulley back off and didn't charge them for it. I recommended they take it to a shop that could diagnose that issue seeing how I was not sure what it was. They called me a few days later telling me the belt came off again. They asked me where I bought the serpentine belt and I told them. There isn't much else I know to do. I recommended they take it to a shop to find out what the issue was with the serpentine belt jumping half off the pulleys.
