I was browsing craigslist for a motorcycle and came across what I thought was great deal.  I took the time to research and found out it is a scam that has been going on for awhile now.  The following is the email I received when I inquired about the bike.  Golden Rule: If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!!!

The price is $2,800!
This bike is a real 'head turner' and it will make you proud, it is in excellent condition, never been involved in accidents,1300cc ,only 4,500 miles, VIN:1HFSC55094A004432 clean and clear title,no mechanical problems,no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, all functional and it will need nothing in the near future.
I have the bike sealed at DAS terminal in Miami,FL ready to be shipped out will take 4-5 days through DAS and it will be free,my previous buyer(his loan did not get approved)already paid for it and DAS didn't want to refund him the shipping fee.
I cannot meet face2face I have a new job in Tucson, AZ I would like to use Autotrader Vehicle Purchase to take care of this deal, smooth and safe. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope i didn't miss anything.

I, too, was looking for a bike on craigslist.  Seen a Yamaha R1 and emailed the person.  the email i got back was word for word, just a different bike.  I would never have known it was a scam if I hadn't done a web search for DAS terminal, and seen your report in the list of sites that came up.  Thank you.

The name he is going by now is Adam Gallagher.  Pics of the bike in question are at picasaweb, under the name adam gallagher.  So anyone wishing to take a look to make sure that they aren't trying to buy the same bike, feel free.

Once again, thank you for your report

thx to ppl like us the web is a little safer to buy things and i agree with the above comment this dude/dudette has to be stopped. he/she is so un-original no matter what he/she sells they generate the same responses along with the same prices.
