I bought a Brocato Vibrastrait hair smoother for close to $200 about a year ago.  It comes with a 3-year warranty.

The vibration part of it stopped working and this is a integral part of the Brocato Vibrastrait hair smoother / straightener.

They deleted my first Facebook message and ignored all of my emails.  When I finally posted at their Facebook that I was going to report them to RipOff Report they immediately responded.

But...

They want me to go to the local UPS shop, wait in the forever line (one clerk, lots of customers), purchase the appropriate UPS box to pack up the Brocato Vibrastrait hair smoother / straightener, pay to ship it back to Brocato, and then sit on my hands and wait several weeks for a replacement should they even agree to a replacement (it's under warranty and nothing bad happened to it except that it stopped working).

So after going to the expense of sending it back as well as my time spent sending it back, then I have to go to a store and spend more of my time and money to purchase another hair smoother / straightener to use in the meantime.

Hair smoothers / straighteners aren't cheap.  So by the time I'm done with all of the various expenses I have to go to in order to get a replacement I might as well buy a new one.

I understand that it's normal to return something before getting a replacement but when it means you have to spend as much as the original product just to get a replacement then that's a rip off!
