Brother is the Bernie Madoff of Ink. Brother scams it's consumers by giving false read-outs and even disabling printing when there is plenty of ink left in the cartridges. Bridgewater Nationwide

     I bought a Brother MFC-J485DW from Best Buy my favorite electronics retailer. After I changed the starter ink cartridges I noticed there was plenty of ink still in the them. I could see the ink through the window in the cartridge and I could feel the weight of the liquid as I tilted the cartridge. I thought hey maybe it's some kind of fluke occurence.

     I proceeded to buy 4 extended use cartridges from Amazon.com. I installed them and hadn't used the printer for about a week. To my surprise when I checked the status of the brand new extended use cartridges I installed the readout said all the colors were 20% empty.

     Brother thinks they're pretty smart. They sell you a cheap printer and then scam you with the ink. They're using the same business plan as drug dealers and it's sad. I refuse to be their ink junky. I'll be getting rid of my Brother printer as soon as possible and tell anyone who will listen to stay far away from their products.
