BTS Signs claims they sell LED Digital Signs. They in fact just take your money and you never get the sign. The company is ran by one guy, Darius Maaghul, and its not a large company of engineers and sign people like he advertisies on his web site. He is a confirmed convicted crimminal currently on probation but is still performing his scams.

Darius collected our money and we never got our sign. That was 6 months ago and we are still working with credit cards to get our money back. He always has an excuse why you havent got the sign and then he will just stop talking to you.

We have spoken with a few other customers, including other sign companies, that have ordered from BTS and either never got their sign or got the wrong product with no explanation why.

Darius is a crimminal according to the Florida State Dept. of corrections and he is still scaming people everyday.

I have been told by a few other customers that they are working on getting charges filed against Darius.

Darius will promise big discounts if you order right now and give you a great cheap estimate but thats because he has no intention of sending you a product.

A few customers with photos on his website did get signs from him but most of them have complaints about the orders and some of the signs shown on the site where not jobs done by BTS.

Big Ripoff on Signs

AUTHOR: Steve - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 24, 2013

I had a horrible experience like the other reports. Darius advertises that he will beat any prices and he does because he never delivers the sign. I finally got my money back but it took 7 months. Cost me a lot in missed advertising of my business. Darius always has an good story about what went wrong with shipping and its never his fault.  This company needs to be stopped soon. The company is on twitter @btssigns. Make sure you report there also.

We to have been a victim of BTS signs. I noticed Darius placed the blame on Absen but never mention the fact the DHL shipping withheld shipment to BTS for unpaid shipping bills. They have since ( October 1st)  filed a civil suit in Bay County Fl for the amount of $21,500. Case #12-2031 CA

DHL is withholding 8 units until past due amounts are paid. Civil suit is being handled by Attorney Amy Winarsky, Tampa FL. Your ( Our ) signs are probably being held hostage because of his unpaid debts.

Final Rebuttal Statement from BTS Signs, Inc.

AUTHOR: Bts Signs - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2013

Darius Maaghul does have a criminal past.  There are always obstacles that he works to overcome when people find out about his past.  He has made mistakes, paid for them, and has rebuilt his life.  He started BTS Signs, Inc. in his efforts to establish a productive life for himself.   BTS Signs is a legitimate, reputable company and represents several major overseas manufacturers and will continue to do so.  Obviously this client is incapable of over-coming Darius past and we now know who he is.  This is unfortunate; but not uncommon.  Many people choose to judge rather than accept the fact that someone can learn from their mistakes and move on.

Regarding this clients order, here are the details.   Specifically, when we originally placed his order with Absen, we had every intention of having them be the supplier for his unit.   During production with other Absen orders, serious production problems occurred and we made the decision to pull his and other orders from Absen and send them to another more-reliable manufacturer in China.  For whatever reason, this client contacted Absen directly and discovered his order was not there.  He then put through a credit card dispute and cancelled his order.  He has received all of his money back without any interference from BTS Signs.   He also did not mention that his direct interference with some of the other customers orders with Absen further contributed to their dissatisfaction and additional delays.

The facts stated previously along with below are the truth and a more accurate portrait of BTS Signs:

Absen is not the only supplier that BTS Signs purchases units from.  We use several manufacturers from overseas and domestically.  We purchased a limited number of units from Absen due the many production problems we ran into with their units.   This client never spoke to the Absen factory.  He only spoke to their recently-hired US sales representative, Jeffrey Saxton.  Mr. Saxton knows nothing about BTS Signs and has been slanderous and made statements that could easily be perceived as liable about our company.  Mr. Saxton also released confidential client information and inaccurate business information about him and other BTS Clients without any regard for their privacy or our permission to essentially a stranger on the telephone.  Mr. Saxton cannot be trusted and his information is definitely tainted.  Originally, when this situation occurred, we were going to let it rest and just stop doing business with Absen.  Now, due to this complaint and inaccurate communication, we will be pursuing legal action against Mr. Saxton, Absen Management, and Shenzhen Absen Optoelectronic Co. LTD USA and Shenzhen due to this clear breach of contract with BTS Signs, Inc.

BTS Signs, Inc. is a licensed and bonded importer and is registered with US Customs.   There is no scam, no smoke and mirrors, only a legitimate company.

BTS Signs did not sell or send Absen orders for 15 signs in July, 2012.  Wherever that figure came from, our guess is Absen/ Mr. Saxton supplied this information - it is inaccurate and an exaggeration.  We have other suppliers that we do business with on a more regular basis than Absen.  Several of the problem examples indicated previously were actually Absens factory issues and personnel mistakes.

We have many good customer references from other locations besides the state of Florida that are not personal friends.  We are working to document those on our website and will have that information available shortly.

The fact that all of our partners are not listed on our website doesnt mean that they dont exist.  Dariuss wife is involved with the business, but we have many people that support and partner with BTS Signs on an ongoing basis.  The fact that our business is small doesnt negate that it is a legitimate one.

If any of those clients that cancelled their orders due to this situation are still struggling with getting their credit card refunds, please contact us directly.  Our information at this end indicates that you have received a full refund.  If that is not the case, please contact us so we can assist you accordingly.  BTS Signs does not have your money - it was pulled from our account the day you processed your dispute.  If you do not have it, your credit card company is probably holding it for whatever reason.

Anyone that is going to read this information is going to make up their own minds.  But to be clear, BTS Signs is a reputable, legitimate corporation.  We have many satisfied customers and sell good quality signs at competitive pricing.   We have in the past and will continue to do whatever it takes to satisfy our customers (past, present and future).  We will not respond to this website or client any further as it appears to be fruitless he has made up his mind.   We hope that if you read this, you will do so with an open mind.  If you have specific questions, concerns, or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Darius the owner of BTS background

AUTHOR: Sign Guy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2013

Before doing business with BTS you might want to look at www.dc.state.fl.us/activeoffenders. Do a search in their data base for Darius Maaghul. His complete criminal record is listed here. His current probation officer is at 850-872-4139, Mary Imes. All this is public information found at Florida Dept. of Corrections

The response to this complaint from BTS is a typical Darius answer for things. A bunch of smoke and mirrors to try and make you feel at ease.

The facts are, out of 15 signs that we know was ordered with him in July, 2012, only 2 were delivered and one of those was the wrong sign. The 2 also were delivered about 3 months past the expected time. I have personally spoken to many customers about this and the factory, Absen in China.

Darius never had any people from the China factory Absen over to correct any problems. I have spoke with the factory that he was dealing with and they denied this and they have also said they will do no more business with BTS cause of the numerous complaints they have gotten. They claim to only have sold a few signs to BTS ever and will not anymore.

I have spoke with numerous customers who Darius promised a refund to but has yet to deliver the funds back. He claims to have partners but the only two people I have found tied to the company is Darius and his wife.

One customer has called the factory that Darius said the sign was being made and they do not even make the sign that Darius had sold him.

Yes delays can happen when shipping anything from overseas but Darius has failed to deliver a product now for 6 months on several orders. His only good customer references are from local people in his area that are close friends of his and many of his pictures on his web site have been copied from other places.

The fact is that I have spoke with customers in Florida, Lousianna, Texas, Arkansas, Montana and all have the same complaints as I have noted. I have informed them of the Ripoff website and expect to see many more complaints about this current probation criminal Darius and his ripoff company BTS Signs.

Bts Signs Response to the Reported

AUTHOR: Bts Signs - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 09, 2013

BTS Signs, Inc. is a reputable, legitimate tax-paying corporation that sells quality signs at low prices.  When we take an order, our intention is to deliver the quality sign on time.  We are sincerely sorry about this customers experience.

The company is managed by Darius Maaghul and several partners. BTS Signs is a small company and never claimed to be anything other than that on our website.  We do have a lot of support staff that assist with installation, software, troubleshooting, etc.  These people are either independent business owners or work for our sign suppliers. Our website does not claim anything about having engineers on staff or anything to that affect.  All images on the website are for signs and billboards that Darius has sold through BTS Signs, Inc. or when he worked for other sign companies.  This allegation is incorrect in the clients claim.

We also have delay notices on our website and on all literature that lets clients know that delays are possible.

Since we have no way of clearly identifying who this unsatisfied client is, we will address their allegations on a broad scale.  We would like to hear directly from this client and see if we can fix the situation though.

When an order is placed with our company, we place an order with our overseas manufacturer within 4 business days of receipt.  Our cancellation policy allows 3 business days for the client to cancel so we wait that time to insure the order is viable.  Once placed overseas, many factors affect the timing of the order and cause delays.

Delays and errors occur for many reasons that we may not have control over.  For instance, one of makers put the wrong type of sign into production because of human error at their end.  The signs were then shipped from China directly to our clients.  When the mistake was discovered, BTS Signs immediately did whatever we had to do to fix the signs.  We had those signs replaced or fixed (depending on the customers needs) at our expense to insure that they got what they ordered.

We also had another factory ship several units that they hadnt fully tested.  When we received them here and discovered the situation, we worked with the overseas maker, local installers, and had the signs fixed or replaced to insure the clients were happy.  This took us several months to fix, but in the end the clients received quality signs.

We have worked with our Chinese makers and brought some of their experts over to fix problems with their signs.  BTS Signs will do whatever is necessary to make it right and claims otherwise are inaccurate.  Mistakes occur and we work very hard to fix and prevent them.  We have many satisfied

customers and some that are not completely satisfied like any business.  We accept full responsibility for all of them and continue to work on resolutions.

Unfortunately, when clients put through disputes with their credit card companies, we are required to address those immediately.

We believe that we have fully cooperated with the credit card companies and the clients with regard to supplying the necessary information.  If that is not the case, then those clients need to contact us so we can remedy the situation.  We have also refunded a few clients when thay could not wait for reokacement signs. Are intentions are always to deliver a good quality product when we receive an order.

We have all made mistakes in the past and we certainly hope this wasnt the motive for this report as one has nothing to with the other though we understand how some may take it when errors on our part happen.

An extensive  list of very satisfied clients are available upon request.

We do sincerely apologize for the frustration that this client is obviously feeling with regard to their experience with BTS Signs.  We would like the opportunity to attempt to fix it, if at all possible.
