I was sent a letter by the Cambridge Who's Who saying I had been referred to be listed as a candidate. It said there was NO obligation and the membership was supposed to be free. I received a call a few days later from a Delores Christenson saying she would interview me to see if I was qualified.

After a lengthy interview , she was very smooth and sounded authenic so I believed her but then she asked which membership I preferred, the gold 5 year or platinum life time membership with a bogus plane ticket. I gave her my credit card number but as soon as the words came out of my mouth I knew I had been scammed.

I researched it, found it was one of the biggest scams going so I called her back immediately (within 2 hours) she more or less told me tough luck and would have to go through customer service. I immediately called my American Express to investigate it but have tried numerous times to get this charge removed.

I even filed a complaint with the Better business bureau because they are in violation of the FTC's Telemarketing laws and not give me a refund even though I am refusing any of their products or mail and called within 2 hours trying to cancel this membership after I became aware of their fraudulent practices and bogus memberships who they offer to anyone with a decent credit rating. Any other help or suggestions to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated. It's ashame people can be scammed so easily.
