I have been dealing with the Canadian Bank of Commerce for about twelve years. Last year i took several of their products, line of credit, overdraft protection, mortgage, personal loan.

My son also has a mortgage, and line of credit through the same branch.

My daughter also has a mortgage , and line of credit through the same branch.

All payments are made on time, all up to date.

I have a visa through them that i have had for 12 years, i have never missed a payment, also at most times no balance.

Anyway to tell you how The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is like this.

About 3 weeks ago i made a bank deposit through their atm. Their closing for the day is 6 pm otherwise the deposit shows the next days date. Well you guessed it, i missed the 6 pm deadline and the cheque showed up the following day for deposit, therefore causing a domino effect on the cheque that i had clearing. It was returned funds not cleared.

A few days later Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce called my mortgage, line of credit, 2 visas, personal loan, even though all were in good standing.

I phoned Donna the manager for 9 days with no returned phone calls. Finally i phoned Toronto, within 5 minutes i was on a conference call with her. Man, what a liar, very smooth, she told me that she was trying to call me for days but was dialing the wrong number. Can you imagine?

Donna told me that head office had called my loans, Toronto said that the branch called my loans. I told Donna that i would like to see her to clear this matter up, she replied that she was off Monday, and Tuesday and that she would not be available.

On Monday May 29,2006 i visited her at her branch. there she was in her office well, and alive. I asked reception to tell Donna that Steven was here to see her, well what an expression. Then the lies started again, she was telling me the numerous attemts that she tried to contact me.

She told me again that she was sorry and that she would contact her head office for a final decission. She called me later that day saying that she was a bearer of bad news, and that the bank wanted to terminate our relationship and that it was not her fault.

That evening i thought about this, how can they do this to us,we have never missed a payment ever, as a matter of fact always even paid more than the minimal payment. The next morning my wife went to the bank, lo and behold, there she was, larger than life. Not bad for a manager who was not on shift that day.

When my wife spoke to her the manager told her that our account had been frozen for the last 13 days, my wife then asked for a withdrawal of our funds that were in the account, Donna refused making up ridiculous excuses. Finally she released our 3-4 thousand dollars.

This crazy bank wants us to pay of all our loans within a few days threatening with collection departments. HAS THIS BANK GONE MAD? We are still making all our payments to them, being shuffed from department to department, many unreturned phoned calls.

My advise to all is this.If you are looking to do business with a bank KEEP AWAY FROM THIS BANK. Also when i spoke to Yve at their head office in Toronto she told me this is how The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce does business.

With all my banking experiences have i ever been subject to this type of conduct from a bank.

Anyway,i hope that many will take notice of my complaint. I have been unjustly subjected to major stress because of a bank that does not care about their customers.

BIG BAD BANK

Last week i was doing some financing on a home that i am building. I got a phone call from my lender. She tells me that cibc has ruined my credit. Seems like a vandetta. I still pay all my bills on time, never missing a payment.

I phoned Donna Tach

Branch Manager

33 Phone calls to her branch

All documented by cell phone bills

Man, what a bank

Stay away from these liars

Go bank elsewhere

CIBC sucks

Try phoning, you will get the message

And furthermore, they all cover for eachother

For their shortcomings

What a rotten bank
