Capital Benefits Group ripoff Plattsburg New York

I am writing to hopefully help someone else before they get ripped off by this misleading company. I was contacted by a telemarketer (Capitol Benefits Group) telling me that as a result of an increased credit rating I was qualified to receive a Visa/MasterCard Gold with a $5000.00 Limit and all I need pay was that annual fees and processing fees which totalled $240.00. I was told that after my money was released from my account that I would receive my card.

Well, I received some darn package with all this information in it that I could have copied myself, and this was described as my benefits package. After approx 2 months without receiving my card I called that 1-800 number and was given a list of 4 or 5 banks that I was to call and request an application. I balked at this because if I had to go through that process it was eventually gonna cost me more money and there was no guarantee that I would not have to pay an annual fee.

Bottom Line....I was cheated out of $240.00 and I still don't have a card to prove it.

I don't know what to do about this but I sincerly hope noone else has to go through this.
