Cardinal Wines And Spirits Renegged on their own VIP membership to customers, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE Crystal Lake Illinois

I used to be a customer of this Cardinal Wines for over a year, and had purchased their VIP membership which allows people to use their "wine bar" in the back of the store, once a day every day. This was their way of giving people an incentive to go to their store, try some wine, and then buy a bottle or more. However, apparently if you actually USE it occassionally like I did, and are not a big wine drinker (I bought lots of beer there and some wine and spirits), they will not only rescind your membership, but tell you not to ever come back to their store again. That's what they did to me, and I consider them to be engaging in fradulent advertising.

What I learned is that this store makes a much higher profit margin off of wine than they do with beer. Their beer selection is nice, but small (and high priced). I went there for the advice, before I discovered Txxx Jxxx' and Bxxxx(((REDACTED))) in Algonquin (both of which have much better selections and prices.)

The owner and senior manager are very much behind the times since they can't comprehend word-of-mouth marketing, or anything on the Internet. (Their website at cardinalwines.com is horrible.) Since they don't offer good prices anymore and customer service has really gone downhill, and the owner and general manager engage in dishonest business practices, learn from my experience and avoid this place. Binny's and Trader Joe's in Algonquin are both close by and offer much better selections.
