Carin E Bennett Unethical and very unprofessional!!! Jacksonville Florida

This attorney is very unethical and unprofessional! She refuses to file my Income Deduction Order with the child support enforcement agency in order for me to get my sons support money that is over a year and a half past due! She told me (through her assistant Wanda) that she will not file the documents until she is paid in full. She agreed to let me pay her $100/mo then came back and told me she would not file my order unless I paid her in full that day! How can I pay her if I can't get paid and I can't get paid because she will not file the order!! She dragged my very simple case out for a year after having cancelled on me five times which tacked on more and more money! She cancelled for the following reasons:

A "family emergency"
She "fell and hurt herself"
She did not serve my ex-husband an order to appear!
There was a "death in the family"
She had another hearing scheduled for the same day and time as mine.

My ex didn't even have a lawyer but he was so angry at having to take time off work, drive to the courthouse over and over again for nothing that he retained one! I ended up winning but at what cost? I now owe her double the amount she initially estimated! She won't even send me an itemized statement of the charges she claims I owe her! I feel like I have been scammed!!!

I begged, literally begged her to work with me in getting this resolved but she has not responded to me! I am a struggling single mother and she has shown no compassion for me what so ever. I have literally cried more tears over her lack of compassion than not having the child support money I so desperately need!

I am shocked at the way this case has been handled! What gives her the right to treat me this way? I have been nothing but patient and understanding throughout this whole ordeal and she has taken advantage of me!!

Please listen when I tell you, DO NOT retain this attorney!!! You will be taking a huge risk!!
