 Someone with hate will ALWAYS find someone NEW to hate. Its like a rabid dog. It gets done attacking one creature and turns and attacks the next closest. Heres a new twist for the OP. How about we let this movie come out and THEN watch it. The OP MUST have some sort of "Future" sight. They have seen this movie already with her as the main actress. OH WAIT!!!! WE CANT DO THAT YET!!

Lets see how the movie goes. There are MANY actors and actresses that I personally feel dont fit the parts they play on TV/movies. BUT!!!! I am SMART enough to know that there is a difference between WHAT they say and DO. That the PERSONA they play for the public is NOT who they REALLY are.

First, why hate on her for winning American Idol?? Did you try out and get verbally abused. Did Simon touch you in a NONO spot verbally? If not, stop hateing. It takes a lot of courage for someone to put themselves out like she did and like EVERY Idol contestant does. The fact that she won only tells me that the VIEWERS of the show liked her. Second, this is a NOBODY that made themselves into a SOMEBODY!! Third, the movie is not even out yet. Watch it keeping in mind that there has been what 50years since the original SoM. There will always be cultural and social differences between the two movies. Watch it and see if she captures the spirit of the first movie. Forth, you do realize that she is ONLY the talent contracted to do the part. She can ONLY do as the director and producers instruct her to. And if she does something they dont like, they cut it in editing.

So in conclusion, keep a open mind. Realize that WHAT she does to gain attention normally comes from a crack media team. Thats the team that thinks up crazy stuff for celebs to do to keep them in the spotlight. In Hollywood a has been doesnt get to make a comeback. Only your Grade A stars get to do that. Betty White comes IMMEDIATLY to mind. Love that horny ole lady!! Lets see if the team making the new SoM does a good job BEFORE you blast them.
