Casa De Pepe Do Not Eat at this new restaurant Del Ray Beach, Florida

I originally posted a pretty nasty article about Deray's new restaurant Casa De Pepe over a payment dispute. It turns out it was a big misunderstanding. Jerry working with a partner were telling me two different days to come and pick up my last check. I felt wronged and jumped the gun. I first took owner Jerry for an inexperienced guy. I was wrong he is just not a jaded restaurant owner, he's more like a class act. Casa De Pepe is a great clean new spot. I'm from NYC, where you always have to watch your back, I felt taken advantaged of and I purposely tried to hurt the restaurant. The lesson here would be communication is key!

    

Yeah this accusation holds no water... I worked with David at the restaurant from day one and the owner is accurate. Not David. David was taking large tables from other waiters and seemed to make an issue out of everything. He did ask not to fill out payroll to continue collecting unemployment. I'm all for benefits when people really need them. But for someone who is capable of working and is working to be cheating the system and living off of taxpaying citizens har earned dollar really reveals the characteristics of the accusor. There are no cockroaches in the kitchen. It's one of the cleanest kitchens I've been in and the owners are two great guys putting out excellent food. Pitiful attempt... Cmon..: really??...

I just wanted to add that I told David that I would have to put hid paperwork through because I could not operate paying him under the table. That was not the way I was going to start a business. He told me to hold off and did nit want to fill out the paperwork that I wAs submitting to ADP. He was concerned about it cancelling out his unemployment.
When I told him after four days he was not a good fit he said what about the money you owe me? I told him that he was in a training period with the others to see if he is what we are looking for and that the tips he received during that time were his . The paperwork would have to be filled out if he was selected to stay.
We fortunately realized early on that he would not work out.

We are the owners of the new establishment that the waiter David has been writing about. We have been open for just under two weeks and all of the staff has remained except for David. I believe in team players and after a few days had several complaints about him from the other staff members. He was stealing the large tables and not being part of the team. After making several hundred dollars we decided he was not a good fit because of his treatment of others. There was not even a tip out for the busboy.
When filling out the paperwork for payroll, he asked to be paid under the table so he could continue to collect unemployment. That was the reason for never filling out the paperwork in the first place.
It appears that maybe he was the cockroach in the kitchen.

Just want to clarify with this update. Trying to collect my pay 1st they said I'm only entitled to tips. Which was wrong we spoke many times about getting $4.27 an hour. After I showed up they said okay come Thursday May 5th. I showed up today and now they are saying payroll is taking care of it which is false!! I never filed out any tax forms! I am getting the run around from guys who want to take advantage of somebody struggling. Besides my ordeal the Kitchen is disgusting I saw roaches as big as mice.
