Well to start off DO NOT take a loan with this ccompany. To come to them you are obviously having money problems and they claim to help you but you will surely regret it. I took a loan out with them 3yrs ago, I was desperate and I thought I had no other option so I thought this would surely help me out. I made payments faithfully for 2.5 yrs.
This year I started to fall behind and thats when the non-stop phone calls and emails came. They would call me @ least 5 x a day @ home and another 2-3 @ work. They call me @ work when I'm not there because I work evenings and I told them to not call my job because you will never catch me there during the day so I get messages from co workers telling me that they call me and they are so RUDE to them. I don't understand why they harrass me @ work, what are they trying to do get me FIRED!! Anyway their loans are rip off, extremly high interest rate that take advantage of people when they need help. STAY AWAY from them its not worth it.

They'll get fined, if anything at all.

"HOORAY! Hopefully this company will be shut down and spare more people from this legal loan sharking.""

VERY UNLIKELY. Based on reports you and others have posted, they appear to habitually violate the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which is a California statute that basically states they have to follow the same restrictions as a debt collector as regards "harassment".

IF anything, CA will likely FINE them (the monies from the fines will go to the state, not you.)

If you want something done about the interest rates that they apply to loans, you need to demand that your STATE lawmakers enact legislation making such interest rates usurious and illegal in CA.

UNLIKE NY, CA does allow for the citizens to bring a referendum to the public for a vote. Perhaps a grass roots effort should be made to bring such a referendum to a vote this November?

I filed a complaint with the BBB for the harrassing horrible treatment that this piece of garbage company likes to give people, they said that they would stop harrassing me anyways I received a letter from the Attorney General saying they received my information from a complaint that I made.

They are investigating CASHCALL and would like to set up an appointment to speak with me about my horrible experince dealing with this company. HOORAY! Hopefully this company will be shut down and spare more people from this legal loan sharking.
