I tried to cancel within my 72 hour period and they refused me to do so 6000 dollars wasted im telling you
Casting Hub advertises itself on local radio stations as being a casting agency for Disney and children's television shows and movies. We went to the audition this weekend, and they told us that our son did great. They told us that if he was chosen to move on to the next level, they would call back that night. They ended up calling, and setting up a second audition for the next day. There was no second audition. What this company does is get parents to take their children to the "auditions", then they hit them up to become a "Verified" member at anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on how long you choose to be in their database. They basically tell you that if you become a "Verified" member, they will market your children to casting agencies across the country, setting up auditions. The "Talent Agent" that we spoke with made the hard pitch, told us that she needed an answer that day because her flight was leaving, and there were no payment options. We saw right through it and walked out.
This is a scam of the highest level, playing on the emotions of children. Do not go to their auditions or do business with them. If your child is interested in becoming an actor or performer, do it the old fashioned way instead of trying to get them famous overnight, as this company seems to promise.

You can get a refund and they will probably have to sue me now but I have had so many emails I thought it is only fair that I share this for all of you that have been scammed by them.
I'm embarrassed to admit my husband and I fell for this scam. We always took pride in being smarter than that. Especially when it came to money. Like most parents we would do anything for our 9 year old daughter.
Anyway, we signed and paid $5900 on a Sunday and decided to cancel less than 36 hours later. We sent certified the cancellation notice to the Casting Hub main office in Chicago. "Blake" said that by accepting their gift of $2000 to be used toward an additional 6 months of their service we were waiving our right to cancel within the 72 hour deadline.
Not true! We contacted an attorney who informed us that because Casting Hub was not licensed in our state (Florida) the contract was not valid. Also, because we were solicted in a temporary business setting example: hotel and/or convention center the cancellation waiver we signed was not enforceable.
Check out your states laws and do not give up. One mention of a law suit and make sure that jst because you had a weak moment when it came to your child does not mean you will back down!
Good Luck

I on the other hand was stupid enough to give them 6000.00 dollars and thats not chump change. After careful consideration I expressed I wanted out of the contract 2 days later. It is a state law in Kentucky you can cancel a contract within 72 hours. Casting hub denied it. Until I could consult with my attorney about a lawsuit against them or even a class action suit I went along with their bs and pitches figuring I might be screwed out of the money either way. Anyone interested in joining a class action suit pls get in touch with me it will get under way monday the 14th. auntbscleaning@yahoo.com
