I bought a Groupon for CCA Cleaning Solutions, which was good for carpet cleaning in three bedrooms. I have a two bedroom townhome, and the bedrooms that needed to be cleaned were on the third floor of the townhome. I called and booked the appointment with Eric, the owner, and told him about our townhome. I told him it would just be two bedrooms and a small hallway, and asked if the stairs could act as the third bedroom. He said for $30 extra they could, which I politely declined and said we'll just have the bedrooms done.

The morning of the appointment, my husband called and said that the technician was onsite to clean the carpets, but would not be able to perform the job because the owner was telling him no. The only way he could proceed with the job was if we paid an extra $25 just for him to move his machine up the stairs. He told my husband this was in the fine print of the Groupon and that unless we agreed to pay it, the owner was making the technician leave. I looked up the terms of the Groupon, which said nothing about an extra fee to take the machine upstairs. I called Eric to inquire, as I was confused why he was trying to charge us extra money to do work on another floor. He did not ask me when I called what floor the job would be on, and it is not listed as an extra fee on their website or Groupon's site. He flubbed around trying to come up with an answer, and started to get rude with me when I pressed for an answer. He said, and I quote, they "bent over backwards for us by giving us the price of the Groupon," and when I told him I thought it was rude and unprofessional for him to raise his voice with a customer, he laughed and said, "we operate in six states. Sorry it didn't work out but we'll be ok." I finally had to end the conversation by hanging up on him while he was yelling at me.

Do NOT use this company. Who treats their customers like this and expects to retain business? I have never been spoken to like that and hope no one gives his rude, careless and unprofessional man their money. They in fact did not bend over backwards for us by giving us a Groupon price-- he is trying to rip people off by luring them in with a lower price and then nickeling and diming them for extra money. There are plenty of honest, hard-working and respectful people out there who own similar businesses. It might cost a bit more, but I've learned my lesson. I'd rather pay three times the amount of the Groupon and have a polite person whom I feel good about giving my money to, than give a dime to this guy.
