Cedar Points New "safety" devices are on the verge of discriminating against larger guests. I live in NW Ohio and have visited Cedar Point many times. My wife and I have gone on many of the rides before, now due to their new ideas, we can no longer ride most of the rides at cedar point. There is no reason they cant put seat belts on rides that fit real size people. For example, does the Scrambler really need a seat belt. Seemed to be pretty safe for the last 20 years i rode it without one. Lets be real, their new definition of "Exceptional sized guest" fits lots of people i know. Many of them not fat or overweight. I will not be returning to Cedar Point again. More importantly(Cedar Point read this), I will not be buying Cedar point tickets for my employees, or their families. I will recommend they go somewhere else.

Obesity does not give anyone the right to moan about procedures. Its your fault that you are more overweight then the average person.why should a theme park try to go out of their way to accommodate someone who is overweight when it is not the parks doing? Its the same reason obese people need to book 2 seats on the airplane!

Though I understand your frustration, safety is a major issue for parks these days. I'd say more safety devices are employed currently than at any other point in the history of amusement parks.
The unfortunate truth is, there have been a number of accidents that could've been avoided with certain restrictions. That's how many of these new rules came to be. It was so many decades ago that locking lap bars weren't required on roller coasters. People flew out, time to pass a law.
You can compare this to other areas of life, like Seatbelt laws for cars and mandatory child seats.
You'll find these restrictions at most, if not all parks.
