WARNING:  Alarm Monitoring Services uses deceptive billing and marketing tactics.  Do not do business with this company.   We tried to activate their service but were not able to get it working.  Their technical support only took voice messages with a message that someone would call us back.  They where very slow (several days) to respond and they responded back less than half the time.  After unsuccessfully being able to set up the service we cancelled the service.  

They require that you send a registered letter to cancel the service which we did.  Unfortunately for us they have still failed to cancel our service.  They continue to send threatening letters and the amount owed continues to increase.  They have indicated that they are reporting us to credit agencies to hurt our credit.  

We have ask numberous times for them to stop the harrassment.  They continue to send the emails.  At this point, we are reporting them to the BBB and the credit report agencies.  Based on the information I see on the Internet they have lots of complaints.  The attorney general for Washington State has also sued and won a judgement.  Unfortunately it has not stopped them from continueing there deceptive practices.  Do not do business with this company.

This company is horrible.  If you are considering using them make sure you read all the fine print.

This complaint is absolutly false.  Clearly placed by a competetor who cannot compete against our low, low rates.

We offer a 90 day money back guarantee in regards to alarm monitoring.  If this consumer could not get set up they could have cancelled ONLINE (Not by certified letter as stated) and received a refund of any fees paid as long as they returned the equipment sent to them.

 

Of course it is difficult to respond to a complaint from an "unknown source" as we simply have no basis to form a respose.  We invite this consumer to call our office in order for a representative to discuss this matter with him in detail. I'm sure once he actually identifies himself, it can be made much clearer.  However, in our experience, those who tend to file complaints as 'unknown' tend to simply have an ax to grind and not a valid complaint.  

 

We serve over 230,000 consumer across the U.S. and Canada with 24/7 emergency security alarm monitoring.  Were the ones that are up and awake when your asleep making sure that your world is safe and secure.  Taking into consideration depending on your service type, our monitored systems are electronically checked for the highest level of confidence every 90 seconds, would mean that we are 'in contact' with each of our customers over 40 time per hour, 960 time a day, 29,000 time a month and over 350,000 times a year. Considering we have over 230,000 customers, that over 80 million connections a year that we manage on behalf of our customers.  With that much 'contact', we unfortunately  expect to ruffle a few feathers along the way.
