I was set up to do a $50 driver's Road Test thru Century. I went to their website and followed their instructions set up for those 18 and older. I was fully in compliance with the first 8 steps, which are the vehicle requirements. Horn has to work/flashers have to work/brake lights. etc.  When I got to their facility after waiting around I was told that I wasn't allowed to do the test because I wasn't in my Interlocked vehicle. There was no mention of this requirement on any of their instructions nor was I directed to do that by SOS. I had to get out of work to make the time for this test. I call Century today to reset a test date and was told that it would be another $35 dollars on top of my initial $50 for failure to comply with their 8 steps. Not only that, but I also would have to take more time off work, which is the bigger hit. I did comply with the 8 steps and should not have had to pay more money on top of taking off from work again to do this test. I did not know that using the Interlocked vehicle was a rule, and neither did Century, because they had to call SOS to figure it out while I was at their facility. They did not provide the information required to me. They are the Instructors/Professionals that do this every day, they should have known this information and should have provided it to me before I showed up. They should have at a minimum given me a free retest date since they as professionals who do this every day, should have made me aware of all the requirements.

Interesting how you left out some information

Umm..why would you just sort of gloss over this requirement that you must use an "interlock" device.  Perhaps it is because you hope people don't read that part and realize you are a convicted DRUNK DRIVER?

Oh did I hurt your feelings by bringing this up..boo h*o.  At least you are given a second chance at driving again which had you actually killed someone that person doesn't get a second chance at living.

Anyways...let's get onto your "complaint" and how they didn't tell you that you must bring the car with the interlock device.  My guess is that when you went to court and got all of your paperwork, somewhere in that paperwork said to the effect that anytime you drive you MUST be in a vehicle with an Interlock device.  So why would this business have to tell you something you should already have known?

Oh and if you haven't figured it out I would be totally fine if you never got behind the wheel ever again so just be thankful I wasn't the judge in your case.
