Certegy approved a half dozen checks written off my account on bogus checks at Home Depot, Walmart Internet

Certegy is the check approval system for Walmart and Home Depot and several grocery stores in Colorado. They approved large checks against my checking account, written on bogus checks (fake name and address) using my bank numbers. 

They continued to do this even after I promptly closed the account on the day they posted. The only thing they check is if there is such an account, by the account numbers, not the name on the account. So anybody can make up a fake name and address, get real checks made up, get a fake ID and then they rip off your real checking account.  

This is not a check approval system. It is a scam. Stores and consumers expect them to protect them from this kind of thing.
