What can you say about someone who lies so smoothly under oath?  What can you say about someone who seeks to gain a tactical advantage in court by filing a false police report?  On 11/26/2008, after learning from the shop I went to in order to get my computer up and running after being worked on by Chipmenders that the part they had installed wasn't even new, I phoned Karla Kwiatkowski.  At this time I did not request a "full refund."  I did not address the documents missing from my computer after document "retrieval."  I did not mention the three days I had searched my computer for these documents, or the condescending attitude of the tech Honey Zink (Karla Kwiatkowski's daughter).  When I called to say that I couldn't find certain files on my computer, instead of offering to search their "backup," she told me that if the files were on my computer when I brought it in, they were on my computer when I picked it up.  I didn't mention the fact that I had learned from the other computer shop that the virus removal and upgrade (including new ram with a lifetime mfr. warranty) could have been done for $100.  When I called Chipmenders on 11/26, my only request was for them to remove the used ram from my machine and give me a refund for $150 (the price paid for this used part).  The owner told me that if I wanted a new part I should have asked for one.  She also informed me that there would be no refund under any circumstance.  I told her I was going to take her to court and hung up on her.  Subsequently, Karla Kwiatkowski called me six times.  When I refused to answer, she left nasty messages on my answering machine.  I never called her back.  It was at this time, after learning that I was going to take her to court, that Karla Kwiatkowski made the following false police report:

"[V]ictim (KarlaK) received threats from an unsatisfied customer.  Suspect (BettyN) told victim that her business might not be there on Friday and that she needed an old-fashioned a*s whipping.  Victim states she received eight calls from this customer today alone." 

This report was a malicious attempt by Karla Kwiatkowski to gain a tactical advantage in court by accusing me of making harrassing and threatening phone calls.  Subsequently, she accused me of having pornography on my computer.  Both of these accusations are lies made by a person without integrity.  On file with the Jefferson City Police Dept., attached to Karla Kwiatkowski's false report, is a notarized statement and a telephone log furnished by my service provider.  This log includes all incoming and outgoing calls to my number on 11/26.  Two calls were made from my phone to Chipmenders.  There were six incoming calls from Chipmenders to my number.  Karla Kwiatkowski left messages on my answering machine.  A tape of these messages is available.  

My court case was dismissed.  I was no match at all for such a smooth and accomplished liar.  And I simply didn't have the money to go forward with an appeal.  One very important thing happened, though, after losing in court.  My focus shifted.  I was no longer trying to obtain a refund.  My sole purpose for filing this ripoff report, as well as for leaving a negative review at every local online review site, was to make sure that anyone with a computer needing repair would be aware of what I experienced.  There are too many reputable shops in this area to ever be bothered with one like Chipmenders. 

I was interviewed by the local media in an effort to expose the deceptive practices of Chipmenders.  After appearing on television, I was contacted by others with similar experiences.  It was at this time that I learned the owner of Chipmenders had a rather lengthy criminal history.  Why wasn't I even surprised?  Karla Kwiatkowski aka Karla Flynn aka Karla Lane aka Sherry Barrett aka Sherry & Sherri Shaw aka ... aka ... aka....  This lady's record includes an arrest for tampering with government documents.  She has multiple arrests and convictions for grand larceny and check fraud. 

Legal documents regarding Betty N?  This is absurd.  I don't have a criminal record.  In 65 years I have never been convicted of anything more serious than failure to yield the right of way.  Any documents possessed by Karla Kwiatkowski are probably as bogus as she is.  It is my own personal opinion that the owner of Chipmenders is not only dishonest, she's dangerous.

This woman found the work done cheaper later and wanted a full refund when she did not get one she took me to the bbb and did not get any satisfaction and then took me to court and lost her case. He current goal is to slam me on the internet and continue to post lies. I have all the legal documents associated with this case in my store for public viewing.
