Im a deployed U.S. marine with only occasional access to the internet. I was checking the status of my bank account when I noticed my credit card was over the limit because of a $79.00 transaction. Of course I was very intrested on how I incurred such I fee. I came to realize this website. I have contacted both my bank and the consumerinfo.com website and now im awaiting responses. Before I deployed I was looking for a way to consolidate my loans and gather information on applying the Soldiers and Sailors Act to some of my creditors. I suppose somewhere in the middle of that the "Free" credit report popped up. I never provide my account information only my mailing address for particular free transactions on the net. I guess I will never do that again. Now here I am five months later. I hope that these fraud criminals are brought to justice soon.

This individual "Steven" of Orange, Ca states that CIC Credit Monitor Service Is legitimate. From the number of complaints it appears that this may not be so. I personally know of someone who was billed the 79.95 and never gave anyone
their bank number. CIC has not explained how they obtained the number, only saying they recieved the number from their client.

I wonder if this is a real address for CIC. I am sure that there are some people that would be interested in visiting them in person as I am sure that it would facilate their refund.

I have read so many complaints where the complainer claims that they never entered their credit card. Here's some news for you----- you HAVE to enter a credit card in order to be BILLED on your credit card. Either all of you are lying because you are too embarrassed to admit that you entered one, or you are all very, very unaware of your own actions online. This company consumerinfo.com has been in business for over 8 years and has never been sucessfully sued. Why??? Because they only do what people ask them to do, no matter how deceptive it may seem to you. Lets all grow up and realize that when our moms taught us that nothing in life was free---- that she was right! ( especially if you have to enter a credit card for a "free" service
