Circuit CIty Did not give me the service that I paid for City Advantage sucks Corporate Office California Shelby Twp Michigan

My husband purchased a laptop computer for me on 8/7/04- We soon found out that the battery was bad. I was lucky to get 45 minutes out of it. This was within a month of purchasing the computer. I called "city advantage" because we paid $322.99 extra for coverage that would "cover everything" and was also "outstanding" The sales guy told us that if we ever had a problem to call and it would be solved HA!

Three phone calls later, I finally got them to say that they would send me a new battery. This was on 8/29/04 and they said that it would be on my doorstep within 7-10 working days.

When my battery still wasn't there two weeks later, I called AGAIN and was told by Jeff (Badge # 06058) that he would overnite it to me and I will have it by Saturday. Saturday came and went and no battery.
Yet another phone call to Circuit city advantage and I was told that the battery was on back order and they don't know when I would get it. I spent well over 1 hour on the phone being transferred to different "managers" I don't know who these people were but they certainly weren't helpful. I just kept being passed over to the next manager.

I hung up and called corporate. I was then told that the battery had shipped out regular UPS and I should have it within the week.

Still no battery but I did call Justin Bryant who was useless. All he knows how to say is "Yes Ma'am" I told him that I wanted either a gift card or some money off of this City Advantage protection cause their service SUCKS! He said "No Ma'am" to that one. He did tell me that I should feel lucky that my battery was replaced. they usually don't do that!!! (why did I pay extra for this service plan then?) Justin was no help and responded like a robot. He pretty much told me that I was out of luck, and he was doing nothing for me and to wait until my battery gets there.. I get it when I get it.

This guy is the VP for the company!!

Well, I finally got my battery- almost a month after I ordered it and still no satisfaction from the company.

I emailed this story to everyone that I know and I CC: a copy of it to Circuit City. I also sent them a link to this website and told them to get a clue because something is wrong if they are pissing this many people off.

Lets just hope that it works.
