Michele, Lauren, and others are right in reference to "Vince" and City Wide Transmissions here in Chicago. Before I explain my situation let me tell you about a few things. First of all, a personality, character trait doesn't change. Everyone is not lying on this man "Vince". And for those 4 and 5 star reviews on this place is unreal to me on yelp. These people have to be their family members, friends, etc. Secondly, I looked under the 10 most reputable transmission shops in Chicago and City Wide came up. If I had read the reviews on Yelp I would have looked else where for sure. I went to City Wide Transmission because my vehicle was changing gears rough. A former diagnostic test stated that my transmission was missing codes. "Vince" told me that he could not tell if the transmission was bad because the fluid was running out like water, (Lie) . He would have to fix a part that rotted out at the bottom and add a new oil cooler hose. This would cost me $275 in labor and $146  for the part costing me $432. 3 days later after fixing this part he calls and tell me the car is still riding rough and that it would cost me $2500  for a used transmission from the junk yard labor and all. Check this out....I asked him what kinda warranty comes with the transmission and he stated 90 days but if something goes wrong with the trans I would have to go to the junk yard myself. How in the hell am I going to take my vehicle to the junk yard? And you guys are the mechanics.'s the nail in the coffin. This car was suppose to be under warranty repairs. I spoke to the warranty company after "Vince" ran a scam on me. Bob stated that Vince was well aware of my vehicle not being covered under warranty because he had told Vince when he had called with my contract number. This is why Vince told me he could not tell if anything was wrong with the transmission until he did repairs. Because if I had known I was not covered I would not had authorized the work to be done. So I paid $432 and drove home in a car that was not repaired.

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! When a person comes to companies like this under distress and have shysters like Vince beat them out their money and ready to call the police there after. Says a whole whole lot. I tell you again. These people who are upset and angry. Are not upset and angry for nothing. These people took their time to write in detail like myself to vent out the blatant mistreatment by this man. This is why I am writing in detail. We are not your your research...I will definitely contact the site who posted these guys as being in the top 10....I-team or 20/20 undercover investigations need to hit this shop. And I hope this $432 is worth the negative feed back I am about to give you Vince. When situations are overt, outrageous, etc. Like usually has something to do with gambling, drugs, or young women.

I never said anything about you calling the police. I said you would have called the police. What else would you do if I would have made a big deal about how you scammed me. Secondly, you are a implied that I was trying to scam the warranty company but in actuality the warranty company scammed me right along with you. And this is the truth. I have recordings and paperwork to prove it. Furthermore, you never addressed the most important issue in my complaint about you stating that you could not tell if anything was wrong with my transmission because the fluid was running out like water. Even after I told you that I had a diagnostic test stating that there were transmission codes missing. 2010 Ford Fusion Vince. Remember now? Yes...I had to borrow money in order to get my car from you. I told you I was on a fixed income. But now I have time to tell the world all about you. It is no longer between you and I Vince. What I say is the truth and there are others who have had similar experiences with you. Now you have the adacity to come on rip off report to refute my complaint. Finally, I do not think you scam everybody. And this is only my opinion. But I do think you pick certain people to scam. I do not think it has anything to do with race, gender, religion, etc. I think it has something to do with whatever you are going through at that time. Far as trying to resolve this issue with you Vince. keep that $432....You see...if I had not came here to rip off report you would not be trying to resolve anything. And that's the sad part about it. Because there are many people out here whom you have done the same thing too but do not have the time or resource to say anything. Your style of doing business is wayed over the edge.  Bogus...real bogus....and can lead to something real serious if you are not stopped. Today and hereafter I will use these forums to describe who you are. As for the reader.....don't just take my word for it. Go to yelp and check out the reviews about Vince. Everyone is not lying on this man. Have a great day.

Also  I cannot find a Stafford in our records and I take very serious when someone calls me a thief tell us who you are and I dont ever remember having the police at my shop for auto repair reasons explain yourself!!!!!

extended warranty Issue

It also sounds like you have an extended warranty issue which citywide is in no way in control of we rerport repairs to your warranty co. and they either ok the repair or deny them we are not the disiding factor in wxtended warranty issues!!!!

WE are not sure who you are usually when we have a disatisfied customer we would do everything in our power to settle the problem I am sure if you catact me Vince at 773 254 1633  I have been doing this for over 30 years and john and chilly who also work here have as much experiance as I It is not are style of running as you stated scams you dont stay in business since 1981 scaming people PLEASE contact us and I am sure your problem can be ressolved thank you !!!!
