1. Complaint from our advertiser for Best Choice Home Security of fraudulent traffic and extremely poor lead quality (due to the illegal leads).
This is a very serious violation.
All leads generated for the offers have been removed and credited back to the associated advertisers. We have zero tolerance for fraud and you have put our relationship with these advertisers in jeopardy and wasted our time. This type of fraud can not only lead to significant civil claims against you but also criminal claims. You must take down all Clickbooth.com campaigns immediately. Failure to do so will result in legal action. Please do not attempt to further associate yourself with our network. Any attempts to sign up for other accounts will immediately be denied.

I am Heidi Bolger from the Compliance department at Clickbooth.
On Wednesday February 3rd, 2010 we were contacted by the only advertiser that you were running at the time. You had done a small amount of traffic on their lead offer, and they had an allegation against you that the leads were fraudulent. They stated that these leads were created by what they presumed was "illegal form stuffing," as the consumers whose information was provided in the lead forms had contacted the advertiser stating they had never filled out the lead data. They were extremely upset that they were being contacted for something they did not inquire about. This advertiser has been a longstanding advertiser and these situations are rare for an advertiser such as this. As a network, we are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that all parties involved are protected, which includes the publisher, advertiser, and consumers. With over 50,000 affiliates and 5,000 advertisers, we take this responsibility extremely seriously.
We then went into a deeper and more extensive investigation of this situation, a portion of which included checking the referrals on this traffic. For example, legitimate Opt-in Email or newsletter traffic will have referrals from a number of different email related ISPs (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.).
There were none of these referrals.
So on this same day, in an effort to mediate and resolve this situation within 24 hours so as to avoid any possible payment delays, we immediately contacted you for more information about how you generated your leads. We also requested answers to the questions that arose regarding the lack of referrers on your traffic.
You then stated that your mailing platform was down so you could not provide additional information, and that this was also the reason your referrers weren't showing up. Archived referrers in our system would show up even if the mailing platform was down, so this was an additional compliance concern. To date, you have not provided any additional information to prove your case. This, combined with the severity level of the complaint, forced us to take immediate action.
I think it is worth noting as well that in the rare circumstance of fraud committed by an affiliate on the consumer or with consumer data, any removal is done both from the advertiser and the publisher concurrently so that we, as the network, do not make a cent on that traffic. We will not profit from fraud, and our stance on this is firm.
I highly encourage you to contact us if you have any additional information regarding this case; we will re-open our investigation and evaluate any data you wish to provide accordingly.
