There have already been 2 posts about this, but I would like to add my complaint. The following is a post of mine from the message boards and Tim's response:

-You overposted. I'm not sure exactly how many positions you have available but it is nowhere near 5000. Why did your ads appear on craigslist Seattle and others? This is a bay area company. Just posting there would have yielded several hundred replies. Either this is because you were oblivious to how many people are out of work right now or you were maximizing your viral marketing strategy.
-Nowhere does it detail the requirements of the jobs available. Why?

-What I, and others, see is that you drove traffic to your site in a creative way and now have thousands of hits on your website to show before you even went live! How impressive.

-To be considered a credible employer you need to have a set of procedures in place for new applicants. You've changed the rules every day since we got into this mess.
-$100 for reproduction rights of copyrighted material is ludicrous. You will make money off of these sayings for years.

-Why in god's name would a fledgling clothing company start a resume farm for MAJOR established companies who already have employment application procedures in place? Maybe it is coming from a good place but it's reckless and a terrible idea for your company.

There are blogs dedicated to exposing irresponsible website behavior like this. I'm not going to pursue sicking an e-dog on you because I still think you didn't mean to screw everyone over like this...but not everyone will feel the same.

His response:

What I said in another thread was that if you feel it's a scam to do two things:

1. Leave this website now.
2. Unsubscribe from our newsletter (if you're on it)
3. Don't tell anyone about us.
4. Don't submit any more t-shirt ideas
5. Check back in a month or two and then see what's up

I don't mean to sound obtuse, but I've got a lot to do in a short time and don't really have the time to worry about things outside my control.

Tim

I changed my mind about the blog thing, obviously. Also, I believe that is 5 things Tim.

Babycakes, I sure hope you didn't apply for a Customer Service position...

...with a condescending attitude toward all the other posters as shown in threads/posts like this:

"The contemporary overuse of emoticons.Discuss.

'My thoughts:
Emoticons are like salt-a little adds a lot of flavor. Too much is unbearable.
Rainbow font colors are impossible to read for long periods of time...fact.
All caps or alternating font sizes are silly and inconsiderate.
I'm surprised I even have the occasion to mention this thread topic...I think the last time it was necessary was like 2001.
No haterade here...I just want to be able to read all your great posts but am finding my eyes doth protest."

And the reason you received that post you quote from Tim is because he already heard you the first time. Plus, you didn't include the rest of his post from the previous time you bugged him. It reads:

"FYI... I'm the founder of Clown Monkey Clothing...

I was talking to xxxx on the phone earlier this evening and he mentioned that people are wary from craigslist ads because there are soooo many scams there.

Since I don't scam people, the thought of mentioning that in the ad or otherwise never came up.

Here's my advice if you think Clown Monkey Clothing is a scam:
1. Leave this website now.
2. Unsubscribe from our mailing list if you're on it.
3. Check out your other job opportunities and maybe come back here in a month or two to check in. You'll most likely see real pictures of real employees and customers wearing funny Clown Monkey Clothing tshirts. You'll probably also see pictures of real tshirt idea winners holding a $100 check. I think it would be really cool if they were wearing a tshirt with their idea on it, too!!!!

Sorry if I'm sounding a little short, but I think it sucks that people get scammed on craigslist and expect to here as well.

Tim"

Get it right, Babycakes.
PS You don't do a good job in 'hiding' yourself among the other complaints on this site.
