Cold Call King I Knew This Was Coming Lakewood, Colorado

I don't know Carolyn Hambleton of America's Marketing Services, but I do know Sam Dobbins of Cold Call King.
In August 2006, I found a job posting in Boulder, CO (both Dobbins and I were living in Boulder at the time), and I called and talked with him. I was interested, so we made an appointment to meet at a coffee shop later that same day.
During the phone conversation, he clearly stated that he had a "tech person" who would work with me to make sure I had a phone system that he required of his telemarketers. But when we met in person, he said he didn't have a "tech person."
Also, when we met, we did a role play, so I could see what he expected of his telemarketers, and it quickly became clear to me that he didn't know much about lead generation and that he was in way over his head. He didn't like how I handled the role play "call", became offended, got angry and walked out of the coffee shop.
I was absolutely blown away; I had never seen a business owner act like this.
When I got home, there was an e-mail from him indicating that he was still offended, and he reminded me of how many years telemarketing experience he had. Turns out, I had a lot more.

Sam Dobbins was extremely unprofessional, immature and very rude.
Thus, I am not surprised to find a complaint about him.

I went on his website, and he is not hiring telemarketers any longer; he's just training telemarketers. God help us! Surely he's turning out really unprofessional and inadequate marketers.
