The Color Festival is a shameful, unorganized and selfish company. They plan and advertise events they never intend to have. For months, I saw exciting advertisements on facebook for "The World's largest color festival" coming to Eden Prairie, MN. I thought it was a little weird that the venue listed was at a high school in the suburbs, and not at a larger space somewhere in the city, but I was too excited to overthink it.

I bought the tickets a few weeks in advance. I talked to a few girls that attend that high school and asked if they were going, and I thought it was a little weird that neither of them had either heard of it. I thought they would have signs in the school advertising the event since that's where it was supposed to be held and young people were a target audience.

The facebook event page said the festival would take place from 12-5 at the Eden Prairie high school but did not list much other information. When we arrived at 12:30, there were no signs. Nothing was set up. No colors, yoga, or delicious food. Just dissapointment. No one at the school knew anything about an event. About 100 other people were there, too, also looking for the "Color Festival." The police were contacted by another individual and was told that they also did not know anything about a festival. No one had reserved the space, or the park across the street.

Many people left posts on their facebook event page and main page to complain, and all these posts were deleted. Later that evening, they finally posted an "apology" that people were not notified. I have made numerous attempts to contact them via live chat, phone, email, and facebook and have been unable to receive a full refund. I have asked so many times that they have blocked me from posting on their facebook.

I learned that their upcoming Color Festival event on August 30 in Portland, OR was already canceled but they had not notified anyone (by contacting the venue). However, they kept selling tickets until just a few nights before the festival! Many people also were not notified, and are also struggling to receive their refund. Once again, all posts of people asking for a refund have been deleted/ignored.

I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and was not shocked to learn that there have been over 50 complaints filed against this company in the last year! The BBB rated this company an "F" and so do I!
