Comcast Cable first of all bills you in advance for their services. Therefore, when you pay your bill and do not pay the whole amount it appears that you are behind in your payments. They also have an automatic payment teller that will automatically take your payment. On one occasion I called and the teller took my payment and then told me they were closed but the payment went through anyway.

However, the last time that I used the Automatic payment, it took out twice the amount I wanted to pay. I was told that since I only pay half the bill they were tired of this and wanted double the amount. When I talked to a supervisor I was told there was nothing I could do about this. The supervisor gave me a telephone to register a complaint. (877-505-1278).

If I do not have enough money to cover the amount, I face extra charges from my bank and the cable company. If I do a "stop payment by the bank, I will be charged $20.00. If I do not have enough money to cover the charges then I will be out or more money. The company should not bill in advance of services and take your money without communicating this to you without advance notice.

I wanted to pay $83.99 the automated teller took out $170.04. That is not right.

They Comcast Cable feels they can treat their customers any way they please because their customers are not able to business with other cable companies. They have a monopoly on their services. They should not bill in advance of their services and deduct double the amount just because they can. It is morally and ethically wrong.

And as long as I have been around all cable tv and telephone companies have always billed a month in advance, this is done so if you would ever decide to cancel your service your last bill would already be paid and then credits to your acct would be taken care of if there were any needed. It is not greedy or underhanded, it is a good way to do business and it keeps the cost of everyones cable and phone bills from going through the roof because of people not paying thier last bills and then the companies that provided the services have to pay a collection agent to get the money that is owed. As fare as them having a manopoly they do not, the telephone company offers internet service and I am sure there are Sat Dish providers where you live although the competitions services may not work as well as your cable services do they are still there and inturn Comcast has no manopoly. Also cable providers are required by the local government to have a limited or lifeline basic cable service available for people who just want the local channels plus a few others, the channels in these packages will vary from city to city, depending on what the local cable commision has decided to make the cable operator put in the lineup. Thanks hope I may have helped.

Your employer would not pay you in advance for work that you have not done. Just because something has been done that way for years doesn't make it right. How can you be behind in paying for something that has not occured yet. That is just plain greedy and underhanded.

Also, all cable companies did not bill in advance.

Add stealing cable service is not morally or ethically wrong?

Telephone as well as cable bill a month in advance. It has been this way for years. You'll find this information in the account terms and conditions you received when you first subscribed.

If your cable bill is too much for your budget, perhaps you should cancel some of those premium cable channels. A basic cable package will be less expensive (I think, though am not totally positive that cable companies are required to offer a very basic cable package). If that is too much for your budget, perhaps rabbit ears are the answer.

If you don't pay your whole amount it doesn't "appear" that you are behind in your payments. You are behind in your payments.

How would you feel if your employer only paid you for 20 hours after you put in a 40 hour work week because that is all they wanted to pay? You'd be prety pissed too.
