Compass Bank will give a false balance at an atm machine, while holding an incoming pay check in what is called "posted". This does not mean it has been deposited, however the atm machine will give the incoming check as available. Resulting in late charge after late charge on your account. However if you go to the bank in person you can withdraw the funds from a check labled "posted".
