Computer Finance L.L.C. mishandled my account and ruined my credit abused & mistreated ripoff business Charlotte North Carolina

When I bought my computer from gateway, I was having absolutely no problems with my montly bill-until they sold my account, without my permission, to Computer Finance L.L.C.

Ever since that stupid company took over, I get a collections notice almost every month, despite my payments being made on time every month. They were also kind enough to make up a lie and put on my credit report that I've made payments more than 30 days late, which is wrongfully ruining my credit. In the beginning I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt whenever I spoke to one of their rude associates over the phone, that the mistakes would be corrected, but it's been seven months and they still have not done a thing...but they sure make sure my bill comes every month!

Although this is no laughing matter, the funny thing is that whenever I call, they admit that they made a mistake and my account is in good standing and that the problem has already been corrected. I believe them until I spend money to get my credit report that shows otherwise.

I'm fed up with this company, and in an effort to fix my credit that they screwed up for no reason, I've contacted the three major credit bureaus. Equifax has removed them from my report. Transunion and Experian are currently investigating the matter. To make matters a lot easier I also sent along with my disputes:

a copy of the letter I sent to Computer Finance L.L.C. last Feb. that they never responded to, a copy of my findings about this company from the B.B.B., and a copy of every single monthly statement from this crappy company, all of which prove that my payments have been made on time every month.

This must have pissed them off because now they've finally responded. Saturday I received a letter from Computer Finances's "Portfolio Support Department." They say to thoroughly investigate my dispute that I have to furnish a proof of settlement or paid in full letters, and a copy of all my cancelled checks front and back.

Hello....I never claimed to pay the account off...I've claimed that I made at least the min. payment due on time every month...and why would I need to furnish a copy of all those cancelled checks? They're the ones that cashed them, shouldn't they have this on record. Well they must, seeing as how on all of my monthly statements there is NEVER a late fee...shouldn't that tell ya something?

Anyways, I'm fed up!!! This company sucks, and frankly I can't understand how they can remain in business if all they do is rip people off!!!
