Consolidated Media Services ripoff experts in the field of telephone marketing Kennesaw Georgia

Sometime in September of 2002 I got a call from CMS stating that I could receive a free watch and free magazines by subscribing to the magazines of my choice. They got my charge card number and told me that I would receive a notice of confirmation of my order.

I received that notice and after seeing the total of my purchase for these magazines proceeded to cancel the subscription within 3 days. I filled out the cancellation part of the notice and sent it back to them. They charged my card $65.00 for 3 months - total of $197.07.

I received many different magazines - most of which were not the ones I orderd. I never received the watch. I tried to get it straight with them but to no avail.

CMS said they did not receive the cancellation in time to cancel the subscription, which is a lie I'm sure.

I am concerned about what I've seen on the internet about this company now that they have ripped me off (know I'm late to discover all of this) but so many complaints, lawsuits against them way back in the 1990s. Why are they still able to call people and rip them off?? FTC and Federal Court to halt them - but they are still ripping people off. Why?
