2009 Continental Academy Graduate

AUTHOR: Chad - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 10, 2014

I graduated from Continental Academy fast track high school diploma program in March 2009. I was fully accepted at Denmark Technical College, Denmark South Carolina. I graduated with my Associate degree in 2011. I most recently; completed my Bachelor of Science degree in 2013. I was sadden to learn this school lost it’s accreditation in 2010. I can truly say this school helped changed my life. I was a 30 year old, unemployed high school drop-out when I enrolled in Continental Academy in Feb 2008. I now have a great career in state government in Georgia. I guess I was very fortunate to graduate in 2009.

Continental Academy is not a scam!

AUTHOR: allie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 08, 2012

I believe you should go back and check the facts from your resources.  I am not aware of your position but I do know that I received a high school diploma in 2009 at 16 years of age from continental academy.  A previous job of mine had checked into it to make sure it was valid and said it was.  I also have attended two different colleges with out any problem with my diploma.  I will soon be transferring to a different school as well.  In the process of being admitted you are required to have your transcripts sent to the school which you are applying for.  I have had no problem what so ever with my diploma being invalid.  Many different places has checked into it as well and reported it as valid.

Accreditation of Continental Academy

AUTHOR: Supawoman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 10, 2012

I am a former student and received my diploma for Continental  Academy in 2009. Although I did not have any problems with getting into college, some employers did question my diploma. I submitted transcripts and that was not good enough. So I called AdvanceED (SACS CASI) and they were able to provide me with proof that my diploma was in fact valid.

Continental Academy was accredited between Jan 26, 2006 - Jan 26, 2010. So any diplomas granted between this time are valid. Now any diplomas granted after this date I can't speak for. Do a search for AdvanceED on Google and click on the contact us link at the top give them a call at the 800# or write to their P.O. Box in Tempe, AZ.

No claims made

AUTHOR: Lenny - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 19, 2012

I went to the CA website and found that by make no claims about the diploma being accredited by any organization . Basically they stated this is diploma for people who just need a piece of paper saying that they have a high school diploma , it makes no clims about it being accepted by any college or state agency. It is program to make you feel good about yourself . Period . They even state this. Also, they say their diploma is basically worthless. Read the fine print . You got hat you pid for . You have no legal standing and CA should be held blameless.

Really?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 19, 2012

I don't know if the above person is an employee of this company but they sure sound like they are trying to be.  If that is the case you can defiantly see the type of "education" you get from this company.  Just going over a couple of the persons comments..

Number 2.  CA iswidely accepted by trade schools and community college.
- Widely? So how about giving us some names.

No where on their site could I find accreditation by SACS, the only one I found was NALSAS(National Association for the Legal Support of Alternative Schools).  If you want to find out what that accreditation is worth just put that into your favorite search engine.

Number 3.  In mostcases if you are trying to attend a four year school you will need to follow The College Prep course work in you public school, or earn your diploma through CA and then set for the GED test (not the classes).
- If you earned a true diploma, why would you also need to actually take the GED test?  Unless something has changed kids graduating High School and getting a true High School diploma can get into college without having to also take the GED.

Go off the Job Corp and earn a trade or find a community college that will accept it.
- If it is so widely accepted why should the OP have to find a community college that will accept it?

CA is real and you can make it work

AUTHOR: ASCET Education and Training - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 19, 2012

I am writing this response to your concerns regardingContinental  Academy High School DiplomaProgram .   As a training program thatworks with youth that have barriers to academic success we use their curriculumto assist student who other wise have not found success in traditional classroom setting.

No doubt by now you realize that in order to get into college there are many steps that you will have to take .    We help our students create a career path,so before graduation they know the steps they will need complete before being acceptinginto college.

Number 1.  Continental  Academy is accredited  but not by for distance or homeschool learning not public school.  They make that clearin their Accreditation Information.  Ifyou are in the south then more than likely your area would fall under the SACS.  Each region is different ( Southern  Association of College andSchools).

Number 2.  CA iswidely accepted by trade schools and community college.

Number 3.  In mostcases if you are trying to attend a four year school you will need to follow The College Prep course work in you public school, or earn your diploma through CA and then set for the GED test ( not the classes).  In addition you would need to take either the SAT/ ACT, have earned good grades and good scores, also show that you have extracurricular activities as well as community involvement.   College is very competitive .

What you can do with you Continental Academy education is get a job.   Go off the Job Corp and earn a trade or find a community college that will accept it.  You have done a great thing you now at least have the basic completed .  Lifewill be filled with requirement and test for the next steps dont give upnow.

If you need help with your next step contact ASCET Education and Training Program and will assist you in creating a plan for successful future.  ( 919) 508-6137.

Oh, my

AUTHOR: Lorenzen - (U.S.A.)

Well, it PLAINLY states on this diploma mill's website that the US Military does NOT recognize this "diploma", and that NO college in the US will accept it, either.  Wow !!  A diploma mill actually admitting that its diplomas are totally worthless !!  Imagine that !  Now, just how much more PLAIN can that statement be ????   They out and out TELL you that this is a worthless piece of paper !!!!  Yet you willingly sent them your money and NOW you think that you have a  complaint ???  Geeeezzzzz.   Apparently, not only can you not write ( that is one of the most poorly written reports I have ever read ), but you can't read, either.  Just how stupid can one person be ??

It is MOST apparent from your report that you are totally incapable of even high school level work.  Just look at the poor spelling, poor grammar and lack of proper syntax.  No high school graduate would make those mistakes.  And as for college ????  Give me a break.  You couldn't even write your way past the entrance exams, let alone actually be admitted to any real college.  Of course, you can always go online and BUY yourself a worthless "college degree" from a diploma mill, just like you bought your worthless "high school diploma".
