Contra Costa County Child Support Services Incompetent, Waste of Space That RUINS Hardworking, Law abiding Citizens' Lives, Internet

Completely Ridiculous, Malicious Negligence.. There really is no other way to describe my situation with the child support services of Contra Costa County. To describe what they did in a single sentence, They Ruined my life, jeopardized my future and damaged the relationship between my daughter and I...

I received a judgement of default for child support in the mail back in late march- early april. First noticing the amount 518.00 that is going to be Garnished from my DISABILITY check . I wasn't able to work due to a back injury and strained tendons in my arm.

As you can imagine funds were a little tight after almost 3rd of my check was  being deducted(based on my income while i was working 40+ hours a week ) Then wondered why this is even being done because I was still "technically" married but not living with my now ex-wife and had my daughter 3 sometimes 4 days a week!

Im not a deadbeat dad. From the moment my ex-wife told me she was pregnant, I loved my daughter. That little girl is everything to me and I would give her the world if I could. 

Apparently my ex was applying for financial assistance and the county took it upon themselves to start a child support case as the assistance. Since they are incompetent they sent all of the paperwork to my Mothers residence, a place i havent lived at since i was 15! Im now 28 and have had quite a few addresses since then. Ultimately Defaulting because I had no idea it was even being started.

My question to them is.. How do you not have my Current address when i just bought a house in Contra Costa County in 2010?? My address is recorded with all bills and the same county thats starting this claim. It absolutely baffles me.

So 1st  my ex starts keeping my daughter from me because she got the same papers i did saying i only spend 10% time with my daughter. Which she interpreted as court orders. After not seeing my daughter for weeks sometimes, I finalized our divorce. That way I could get  a real order in place and be able to see my daughter. After Months of battling for custody finally ended with 50-50 joint custody just like it was basically was before. 

I get about 2 days with things going ok, call the child support office and apparently they cant do anything about it.. I have to go to court again. And It will take about 6 Months to get reviewed if I wanted them to look into the case. So what exactly do they do at the support office?? Oh thats right NOTHING! I know this because my ex's mom works for them!

Then my home goes into default because the garnishment was leaving my income at around 1120 a mo. Due to the divorce/ custody battle, while dealing with a back injury I wasnt able to contest the garnishment yet. Home goes to foreclosure and sold to the bank 8/27/2012. I still live in the home and currently am going to court to rescind/ get my home back. Still on a budget of 1100 a mo.. Not easy. 

After a year of payments being garnished. The best part is it shows as being late every month when the payments are garnished so, yup theres late fee's too and interest. Battling with my ex over custody and losing my house I just have a big 'ol F*&$ You!!! For the Child Support offices. I could only imagine the chaos if they actually could do anything about child support servicing...
