 Jeff Loper the president of CEC signed the checks . He may not have been aware of the day today embezzling. But had he done his due diligence he would've known what was going on. It is clearly the responsibility of the president of the company that was license to operate separate broadcast operations to play the deaths of those ventures. I know for a fact very little compliance paperwork with was filed with authorities and that he switched on the books employees to contract employees when he was eight unable to comply documentation to the state and federal tax department's. Jeff Loper was taking for ride . Weather isn't difference was real or manufactured has no bearing on this outcome. He simply must pay the debts incurred by officers of his company

It is true that Richard Delancey and his partner Elizabeth Marten did in fact rob CEC Media (by embezzling funds) - intercepting and cashing company checks, making personal purchases with company funds and engagement in “off the books deals” with clients.

They furthermore hired employees that they had no intention of paying , pocketed withheld taxes, did not comply with state and federal labor law fundamentals such as registering employees with the proper state and local authorities, Also they stole from advertisers and clients by selling them ads in “Champack” (a regional coupon booklet) and intercepted client’s checks and personally cashed them. Liz and Rich never published, promoted or distributed Champack as promised.

It is true that some monies were recovered and CEC Media Officer Jeff Loper made partial payments to a hand full of beleaguered un paid staff (spring 2011) some employees are still owed tens of thousands of dollars. (One employee is owed over 50 thousand dollars in back pay) These staff members have little recourse because their employment at CEC was never registered with the Vermont Department of Labor or IRS.

Inside sources can confirm that Mr. Loper was made aware of MR’ Delancey’s and Ms. Martins malfeasance as early as august 2010 but failed to take action.

Mr. Loper claims that he is not responsible for monies owed to employees, venders and compliances fees and fines and that the 2 management teams in place from the spring of 2010 to the spring of 2012, But he had all employees fill out W2 Forms, file I9’s and directed their assignments directly.

He is directly responsible for all unpaid debts including salary. This poster has it on good authority that Mr. Loper continues to raise money and has not paid any of his debt to date. He currently resides in Florida

The information posted is factually incorrect. Convergence was only a shareholder in WNMR 107.1 radio. The business New Media Radio LLC was run into the ground by the manager Richard Delancey - who controlled all funds and hired all employees.

When Convergence shareholders found out checks were bouncing they took over the business and paid off the employees even though legally they were not responsible. Then the company was closed.

Convergence as well as the employees were harmed by the Delancey management. Convergence didnt have signature on the checkbook either - Only delancey
