In December of 2017 i purchased an online course from cornerstone appliance repair training for $800.00. i made the purchase based on it offered a certification and what was said on the site for taking the final exam to get the certification, all of the requirements were met to take the final exam, it took 5 or 6 emails to get a response from them to get the information to take the exam.  i was then told something other than what his website states about the requirments to take the exams. I sent him pictures of what his site states, 4 days later no response, i then sent him another email stating that i will go else where to take the test and get the certification and that his course was useless with out the paper, and that i was done playing his games and he could just go ahead and refund my money, as of today no refund.

Below i will show you what the website says then i will post the actuall email they sent me.



Cornerstone Appliance Training Certification Requirements
At Cornerstone Appliance Training (CAT) you will develop your repair skills with Our Appliance Repair Training Course. Our program will cover how to make both major and minor repairs of all Major Residential Appliances. With CATC, you train at home and at a pace that's right for you, and you can complete the Fundamentals of Appliances Course in as little as 1 to 3 months!

Our Appliance Training Course has 8 Modules (Step Videos & Course Materials), at the end of each Training Module is a Practice Exam. The Practice Exams are designed to reiterate what you have learn in that specific module, to ensure you have grasped the information.

If you want to receive our Certification Certificate from Cornerstone Appliance Training, then you must achieve an 80% or higher on all of your chapter quizzes.

Upon completion of the CAT Program or One of our Training Course(s) you will be given a Final Exam (80+ Questions).  You must score a 90% or higher to receive the CAT Graduate Appliance Training Certificate of Completion for your respective course or membership.

We offer a Certification Certificate for the following:

BusinessPro Membership
Professional Business Bundle
Fundamentals Training Course
Refrigerator Training Course
Advanced Appliance Troubleshooting Course
Business Management Course
Cornerstone Appliance requires our students to have been a member of the CAT for 60 days before taking the Appliance Certification Final Exam.  You will be given 2 chances within 60 days to retake the exam, if you fail on your first attempt.

Anyone that fails to meet the 90% achievement on the final exam, will be required to wait 90 days before retaking the Certification Exam.

However, any student that desire to take the test in 30 days (determined on a case by case basis), can send a request to Cornerstone Appliance Training.  We will look at the practice exams results of your practice test since you have been a member.


The Following is cornerstones statement by email.


Our POLICY for ALL students that were NEW/BEGINNERS to the Appliance Repair Industry. My partner and I decided that we did not want to hand out Cornerstone Appliance Training Certification Certificates like candy!!

After being in this field for over 11 years and training several local beginners.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to learn this ENTIRE field in a month to 3 months... Period!!

That is why initially we required the 6 MONTHS waiting period before taking Cornerstone Appliance Training Certification to ensure that ANY student that received our Certification was Professional and a Very Competent Appliance Technician.

You and I talked about this and you had NO problem with it until lately. For the LAST TIME!! You will receive an email with your opportunity to take the Certification Exam.  If you decide not to take it that's up to you.

We have provided EVERYTHING that you signed up for in November 2017... Period! Your and all the other students 6 month waiting period is May 2018.

So now you can see that his statement in his email is far different than what he says on his website.

he had no interest in hornoring this exam until i demanded a refund then he demaneds that i now take his exam, there was always a problem after he denied the exam on myt first request and he changed the rules, but yet he has no mention of this on his site. He also Stated in another email that the 6 month waiting period was on his web site as of today, it is no where to be found. I would highly recomend to stay away fromn this guy and his courses you may be the next to out of 800.00 dollars and only get videos and a service manule.

AUTHOR: John - (United States) it seems that im not the only one having problems with this this guy doing what he promised to do and got paid for, also after doing a little research find that he is using two different names, both of these businesses are registered under the same name but he uses a totally different name, and after all these complaints he still has an A rating with the BBB but most of us know your grade is based on your membership fee, and does not reflect on the service quality. I really think he should go take his own course section on customer service.

corner stone refused to give the exam as stated on his site, he refused to give the exam after three months and after multiple dozens of passing the tests  getting 100%,  he states that he had verbal conversations with me and just like he stated that the 6 month waiting period  is on his website he is a lier, it is not on his site as he said and chris you know  well you have never had any verbal conversations with me, in fact when i emailed you adn ask if you would be available i wouls like to speak with you at 8:00 pm that night , you never replied back,   Its one lie after another.

you refused to give the exam until i ask for my money back then you decided to give the exam at which that time was too late, i never agreed to your 6 month waiting period that you claim i was ok with,another lie.

It saddens me that Corner stone has to resort to selling its 800.00 courses under one pretence then after being paid in full, decides to change it, i also like how he just deems that one who he knows nothing about as a beginner, its obvious that if one after 3 months can pass all of the 12 course tests with 100% can be a beginner in which if what he says in his email that no one can pass the course in 90 days, it odd that i was able to pass them all many times with 100% score

As soon as i get a home address on you, your getting served

We tried every way possible to work with this student.  When I first started the Cornerstone Appliance Training LLC, my goal was to help as many people as possible start their own business easily and very affordable.  After seeing and reading how so many of the other Online Appliance Training Courses were making Residential Appliance Repair extremely EXPENSIVE and TECHNICAL to understand. 

I wanted to provide an EASY, AFFORDABLE & SIMPLE Online Appliance Repair Training that offers a COMPLETE Business in a Box... Period!! 

As I stated to the this student when he purchased the course, that we are new to the Online Appliance Repair Training and wanted to ENSURE that ANY STUDENT that received a Appliance Certification Certificate from Cornerstone Appliance Training LLC. That they presented the SKILLS, ABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM, APPEARANCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE that would we would EXPECT from a GRADUATE of Cornerstone Appliance Training LLC.

After a number of conversations, both verbal & via emails.  He was fine with it and continued to access the BusinessPro Membership & take the practice test to improve his chances of meeting the requirements of the Final Exam.  He was ONLY A WEEK AWAY from taking the Final Exam.  I told him thru NUMEROUS Emails and ASKED HIM TO CALL IF HE HAD ANY QUESTIONS SERVERAL TIMES!! Also, GAVE A DATE THAT HE COULD TAKE THE FINAL EXAM and if he MET the EXAM STANDARDS, WOULD RECEIVE HIS CERTIFICATE.  

For whatever reason, HE REFUSED.  Which still has ME BAFFLED.  If this is what HE wanted other than the Appliance Repair Training, Manual, Material, Appliance Business Website, Live Tech Support, etc.. WHY DID HE REFUSE TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM AND RECEIVE THE APPLIANCE TRAINING CERTIFICATION CERTIFICATE?

NOT TO MENTION THAT WE ARE ONE OF FEW (IF NOT THE ONLY COMPANY) THAT OFFER IT TO OUR STUDENTS FOR... FREE!! We have over 175 Life-Time Students (and Growing...) that are EXTREMELY PLEASED with the Cornerstone Appliance Training Course & our support.


We will CONTINUE to HELP as many people as possible to LEARN the Appliance Repair Business & Start their Own Appliance Repair Business ASAP!! I believe that Residenital Appliance Repair is one of the Easiest & Low Startup Businesses ANYONE Can Do!!

Unfortunately, I regret for this student that we could not solve this situation without resorting to this.  I wish him that best with his future endeavors.
