Bought a custome a Halloween costume on October 5th and paid for UPS ground which takes 7-10 days delivery. On October 6th I received and email from them stating that they received my order and will ship it within 24 hours.

Since October 7th when I check the status of my order it states that it has been shipped. I email them on October 25th because it has been 20 days since I placed my order and I have not received my costume. They reply on October 26th that they will ship it overnight and charged my credit card again the costume and the next day delivery charges with out my permission.

Therefore they do false advertisement because they never ship order within 24 hours. They do fraudulent billing because the charged my credit card the costume twice and the overnight delivery without my authorization. They do not comply with sales orders becuase I have not received any products from them.

I have all the documents to support my accusations if anybody cares to see them. Clearly this company is Rip-Off their consumers. Do not even bather calling them, they will never answer and their voicemail is always full. So, you can imagine the amount s of complaints they get a day.

This company refuses to deal with customer concerns!!!

This company claims that its phone system was stressed this October but that all emails were answered.  I can say with certainty that this company is lying to you.  My email was not answered this Halloween season.  In fact, the company states on its website that they will only respond to emails if they feel that a response is warranted - basically, they will respond if they feel like it - they do not respond to all emails. 

The Anilta Corporation (dba Costumes4Less.com) has ignored my complaint for months and continues to make false claims - on this site - that they take customer concerns seriously.  It is not my intent to smear this company, only to inform fellow consumers of the company's dishonesty and disregard for customers. If they are sincere about their desire to repair their reputation, they should address my concerns directly.  I would gladly post an update to this report stating that they had done so.  Until then, I will continue to refute any false claims this company makes.

Any company that handles this volume of transactions, specially during the halloween season, will have some transactions that do not proceed smoothly. The company's system does not even store credit card numbers on their system. The only way an additional charge can be made is for the customer to provide all credit card information again. Our online systems have the highest level of security. It is true that during this October Halloween season our phone volume was so high that we were not able to answer all calls. However, all email messages were answered - some took more than 24 hours to answer. However every customer service issue that was reported has been resolved amicably. Costumes4Less.com success is based on providing a high degree of customer service.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! This company lacks any accessible means for dispute resolution

Like the customer who posted the original report, I have been in the group which has needed to contact the customer service department.  I purchased from this company twice. The first time, I will admit, the transaction was flawless.  I got what I requested, in a reasonable period of time, at a reasonable price.


The risk you take with this company is that if you are in the group that has problems you must expect that it will be a total loss on your part.  

The second year I purchased from this company did not go so smoothly.  When I tried to get help, I learned that the company is completely unresponsive.  In all of my efforts to contact this company, the only pieces of evidence that prove there are any real people behind this website are the rebuttals they post on this site claiming to have excellent customer service.  I am led to assume that their 'customer service staff' is actually a couple of unused filing cabinets dressed up in last years unsold merchandise.

Caveat Emptor!!!

THIS COMPANY IS INACCESSIBLE!

Order not delivered on time?

With over 40,000 costume orders being processed during our peak Halloween Season, sometimes we do encounter problems. This order was one of those where the shipment was delayed. When we realize these issues, our customer service team goes out of its way to make it right.

This customer claims that we charged his credit card without his authorization. This is impossible. The credit card is processes by our Secure system while the order is placed online. The credit card number is not stored on our system nor is it known to any employee. Only the last 4 digits are stored. If any additional charges need to be made, we requires customer to give us the credit card info again. We are only able to place refunds against the original transaction. Costumes4Less.com has one of the most secure and safe transaction systems.

Costumes4Less.com has built its reputation by satisfying hundreds of thousands of customers. We go far beyond obeying all the laws. We also maintain the highest ethical standards. We will continue to improve our customer service practices so that not even a single customer will get frustrated like this one did.

We are sorry that we were not able to help this particular customer. 99% of transactions go without any issues or problems. We maintain a customer service team to handle the 1% of transactions where problems are encountered. Irrespective of the nature of the problem, we take every issue seriously and try to solve it so that we obtain the highest customer satisfaction ratings. Obviously, we didn't succeed in this particular case. However, we do have thousands of happy customers, who will sing our praises! And we are adding hundreds of happy customers to this list every day!!
