Rather than to go into the whole spill I decided to just copy the e-mail I sent to their corporate office..... I took my '97 Mazda 626 into your location on Linwood avenue in Shreveport, LA a couple of months back. Aaron Bennett was the general manager at the time I'm not sure if he still is. However, when I originally went into his office to discuss the cost of repair he told me that he had found a transmission on the internet that was already rebuilt for $950.00 he said he would get it and put it in my car. "It should take about 2-3 days." When he gave me my quote he said it would be $1600 all together. I told him I could pay some but would need the remaining balance financed to me. A few weeks went by and I gave it much thought and decided to go ahead and take my car there. Especially since other places were telling me that it would take longer. I dropped my car off to him and reiterated that I would be back in a few days to pick up my car. I went on to work and waited a few days. Never hearing from Aaron I called the shop to check on the status of my car. Mind you, I work two buildings down and I had seen that my car hadn't even been pulled into the bay. When I called Aaron informed me that the shop's electricity had gone out and been out for several days so it put a cramp on my cars repair time. So I went ahead and gave him a few more days. By the end of the week I called again. Aaron was supposedly never there and never returned my phonecalls. After caling him repeatedly and getting no reponse I talked to the lady at the desk and asked her if she could please get some details about my car's repairs. She came back to the phone stating that they were waiting on a part. Now had he done what we had orignally agreed on there shouldn't have been any parts needed. He was merely supposed to put a rebuilt transmission in my car. After him having the car 2 1/2 weeks he finally calls me to tell me that it is ready. So I picked it up a few days later when my transportation permitted. I was so excited to have my car back!! So I get in it and go to drive off and I hear this aweful noise like something had fallen apart. I get on the interstate to head home and low and behold my car isn't repaired and is slipping more than before. I go ahead and drive it home because by this time I am already hot, tired and aggravated. The next morning I get up to go to work and when I pushed the gas at a stop sign I heard this rumbling sound. So I go on to work and call Aaron. First he asked me what it was doing so I told him it was still slipping gears. He told me that he put some "high energy clutches" in there so it will take awhile to adjust. I also explained the noise it was making when I accelerated from the stopped position. so he tells me to bring the car back in and he will look at it. I explained to him my apprehension about leaving my car there again only for them to try and take another 2 weeks and it still not be repaired. He said " well, it takes a lot longer to rebuild a transmission than to find a problem on one" which at that point I realized I had been duped!!! He had rebuilt my transmission himself after he had already stated he was ordering one on the internet. So I went ahead and took my car over there. I walked inside and told him to go ride with me so I can assure that he witnesses the problem himself. After going into the bay and talking to the mechanic he comes back out and says " I can already tell you what's wrong. It's right here on the back of the work order your mount is broken" He was wanting to charge me an additional $350.00 to repair something that wasn't even broken when I took it to him. Not just that but he let me drive that car off his lot knowing the mount was broken and didn't say a word to me about it. When I told him I didn't have that kind of money and asked him what would happen if I continued to drive it until I come up with the funds he said in a joking manner " just don't go over any speed bumps" I was furious. He actually had the audacity to call me when my first payment was due. He hasn't called since because he knows he screwed me. I have made several calls to his office leaving messages and still no reply. I want my money back that I paid him and I want the finance agreement voided. I don't feel as though I should pay for work that wasn't completed. This is the only time contacting you all. If I don't recieve and response I am afraid I will have no choice but to pursue legal action against the company itself. I appreciate your time and just hope that you all are more honest in your business dealings than he is.
