Consumers beware.

Nice in the beginning but afteryou purchase an item here and you do not receive it timely or it is damaged you get to talk to the business from hell. The son is a billigerant ranting person who loves to insult women and kicks you out of the store when you come in to complain about your purchase or damaged items.

My aunt went to the store because she hadnt received her product in the time promised by the company which was 4 to 6 weeks. She had called to complain and was told that her shipment was not sent because the company didn't have enough items to ship and so she had to wait. We both finally went into the store to speak to the owner, who wasnt there. We came in contact with, what we know now to be the owner's son, and he was very confrontational. He stated that we would not win becasue we signed a contract that it was binding.

A woman entered the store and told the man that she wanted to order something. My aunt said it wasn't a good idean and then the man leaned over to her ear and said "shut your f__cking mouth" . My aunt was shocked. The man walked away and I called him an a hole. We kept looking at the contact and he came back and demanded that we leave. We were not doing anything but looking at the contract. He then practically pushed us out and then I told him I worked for an attorney and was going to talk to him about the contract. He then came after me and my aunt and started yelling at us. He got in my face and I pushed him away. He then screamed that I hurt him and he had witnesses.

I was called a Sl_t when I started wanking to my vehicle. He said he was going to call the police and we told him to do it. He then called me fat when I didn't cower down to him. I told him something else and then we left.

The next day our fiance's went to talk to the owner. Once again he told them to leave the store. They said they were going to stay until they spoke to the owner. His mother was not apologetic either. She said that he said I hit him and he had witnesses.

This is not true. I pushed him away from me and feared for my safety. He is over six feet tall and a bully. The men said he needed to apologize to us and left their phone numbers.

My fiance called her the next day because he had not heard from her and she said that she received obscene calls from his number and thus was not going to deal with this kind of behavior. My fiance would never and did not do that. He has more class than that. I plan on standing on the sidewalk with a sign warning people of the store practices. I only hope that the horrible man does not try to hurt me. After this bad experience we looked up some reviews online and it seems that he is this way a lot.

Same Horrible Experience With Country Wood Furniture in San Jose!

I read Tina's report and OMG, I had the very same experience that she had with Country Wood Furnture in San Jose! They have such horrible customer service, from the top down. Mike Wilson, the owner, is such a rude and obnoxious and horrible man. And Henrietta is no better.

The buying experience was ok, but once they take your money, they are the service from Hell! I bought a dresser and desk for my teenage son's room. I scheduled delivery and even confirmed my delivery 2 days prior. An then they stood me up for my furniture delivery! They gave me every excuse like one of their drivers didn't show up for work, and they tried to call me but they couldn't reach me, and my order was on hold so they didn't deliver, all of which were so incorrect! And after rescheduling the delivery, I had the extreme displeasure of dealing with Mike Wilson, the owner, who came to deliver my furniture.

I was polite and didn't say much at all, but I did want to inspect my furniture prior to them moving it in the house. With every comment I made through my brief inspection, Mike reacted with a huff and a puff and rolling his eyes, and he was so short and full of attitude that it was hard for me to really inspect anything. After a few of those reactions, I said "you think you could be a little friendlier?" He immediately blew up at me and started to push himself into my house to remove one of the two furniture items he just moved in. He then said to me "shut your f_n mouth" and he said "if only you didn't say anything". Then he said "that's why there's no man in your life". OMG again, how rude and obnoxious can anyone be with a customer that just spent almost $1000 in their store! I managed to stop him from storming into my home to remove the furniture that I just paid a lot of money for that my son really wanted. On the way out, Mike said sarcastically to my son, "good luck son". My son actually wanted to say something back to this man with every rude comment he made but my son was afraid he would push himself back in my home and do something nasty. That's how horrible their customer service was, right there in front of my kid who was getting all this furniture from them.

After they were gone, I was able to actually inspect the rest of my furniture and found that one of the 5 drawers in my new finished wood dresser was actually unfinished. It feels very rough compared to the 4 other drawers that are nice and smooth and finished. Now I have a drawer that I have to deal with them again? Ugh! I called and spoke to Henrietta that evening and I told her about the problem and she asked if I inspected it before they installed it. I told her I TRIED BUT THEY MADE IT HARD TO INSPECT IT with Mike's rude attitude toward me! I told her all the rude things Mike said and that it wasn't easy to comment on anything with his belligerent attitude and she had the nerve to say to me "you're one of those people who have what we call diarrhea of the mouth!" WHOA! That's where I fricken draw the line. That is so not right by a business to treat a customer this way.

I completely agree with Tina that we should be out in front of their store with picket signs!
