HERES A PRIME EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE THAT WORKED HARD THEIR ENTIRE LIFE-THAN LETS THEIR SONS RUN THE BUSINESS : YOU CAN GUESS THE REST OF THIS STORY

We needed locksf for our homes we were building today and my son needed 2 keys cut for his motorcycle. Nothin special an old motorcycle key two sided. X-103 for you locksmiths out there if you need a real good laugh.  We are certainly not laughing and took the time to post this as a wakeup call for the owner of this company. Maybe his kids should go out and start from ground zero and realise how hard it is to start a business let alone one that stands the test of time as this one is so far...but for how much longer?

While we do realise that this company might very well be skilled at what they do, they certainly lack the most basic skill. COURTESY, RESPECT FOR ANY CUSTOMER WHETHER BUYING A KEYCHAIN OR A 10,000 SAFE.

We were told over the phone that they needed to see the key as we realise all keys are different. Upon entering the story no one was there to greet us and from the moment we walked in it seemed painful trying to talk to the person we dealt with a young tall chap wearing a golf shirt about 33 yrs of age not sure about exact age. He than began to search for the key not even greeting when he met like it was some mundane task and he normally does not do this, but he was doing us a favour atleast that was his attitude. Coincidentally he did not do this but he was 100% certain on the price.

After making our keys he charged us $10 a key!!!?? I questioned that as I this seemed quite egregious. I thought the key would be around 4-7 dollars. " We have not sold keys at that price for over 20 years he replied!?" So grudingly we decided were there, we need the keys lets just be on with it. After the keys were cut another fellow was there to bill us.

I handed over $20 thinking that this would suffice but he had to ad in every last penny. We were short $2.60 and he just stared at the counter for seconds as to what seemed minutes...than said "dont worry about" grudgingly as he took the cash as if he was losing money. So I decided that in good faith he really needs that $2.60 so I went out to the car and came back with the difference.

I drove home thinking, maybe I was being unfair? After all this is what they do since 1955 right? I decided to look in the yellow pages and called 3 other companies all very reputable with good size ads and online. Not expecting the pricing to be exactly the same I expected to pay 10-25% more or less. I called Able gave them the blank number told them it was a two sided key...cost-$5 the others were both $6. 

So were only talking about a key..right..but were talking about being charged 108% more. Last had they been nice about it, we never would have bothered posting this. We than called them back and explained the above and would you believe they were going to offer us a refund? How courteous ! We paid for the keys and will NEVER go back to CRAIG SECURITY as they are truly in every sense of the word a RIP OFF. and if they would gouge someone on something like a simple key...just imagine what they would do on locks.

We called up Chubb an spent $17,000 on locks and security. The service was prompt professional and POLITE. To anyone reading this avoid dealing with this old established kids run the business and dont give a S-----T attitude. It wont be long before Mr. Craig wakes up and realises he has been too naive with his own kids.   The worst part it costs NOTHING to be nice.

They not only lost my business but Im certain to say anyone else reading this should start somewhere else.  Even if they just would have take the $20 with a smile, none of this would have happened but if they have done this with me, its fair to say that this must be common practise. On one hand a a full refund but it would of been the end of the world to make a couple of key for 10-15 dollars for a NEW customer. Those two keys cost them over $17,000 dollars today and we hope this posts costs them even more. Its nice to be nice. Spoiled kids with no cents of reality. Mr. Craig, Im sure your a good man. Kick your children out and let them get a job working in another company and see how long they remain employed.
