I bought a 2005 Lincoln LS for 10,500.00 I paid 3,000.00 down and by having poor credit, when they financed the car the total was 19,487.00 my payments were 327.90 a month for 5 years, they made me take out insurance to fix the car, added that into my payments, but the insurance was for only 2 years.
I paid for this car 14 months straight without being late, and then a IRS problem come up which required me to attain an attorney, I wasn't a month late before they shut my car off, I told them in 5 days I could make a double payment they didn't want to work with me at all, their response was they were coming to repo the car.
I paid almost double the car and they couldn't give me a month. This is bad business in every way.

You weren't ripped off. You lost the car because you defaulted on the loan agreement. Your math needs some modification. $327.90 at 60 months=$19674; $19674+3000 down=$22674. That's not a good price for a car with a value of about $8000. It will be at least seven-years before you get better financing. Happy motoring!

These "deadbeat" lenders have heard ALL the excuses hundreds of times and don't believe ANY of them anymore. They just want paid on time EVERY time as agreed Your problems are NOT their problems. Sorry for your hard luck, but this isn't your first problem with credit and almost certainly won't be your last. Where's the Ripoff (on THEIR part)?

The ONLY reason you have to use these people is because prior to this loan, you destroyed your credit by not paying on time. They know that. Here we are today. Without regard to the reason, you are late again. For all they know is you're slipping back into old habits. They have heard all the reasons, excuses and stories as to why their customers are late. They could care less because they get lied to everyday. Secondly, they are under no obligation to "help" anybody. Not you, not me, not anybody.
You used them for their money. All they are interested in is the payment. Because of the reputations of those they do business with, they manage their accounts alot more closely and do not allow anyone much wiggle room. If you told them about an IRS problem, then right now they are probably concerned the IRS may levy upon you and perhaps seize part of your income. All this is not good for a subprime borrower, but that's the playing field you are on when you have bad credit. In case its brought up in rebuttle, I don't work for them.
