Back in 1998 I received an application for a cross country bank visa. It sounded good so I filled it out. A few months went by a received nothing in regards for any card so I blew it off.

I went to buy a new car and got denied because in my credit report it showed I owed cross country bank 279 dollars. I called cross country bank to see why I owed the money they said it was an application fee. I never received any card or statements from them and wondered how I owe money.

Finally they said they would clear it up and it would be taken off my credit report. so I never pursued it after that, till recently I went to get a personal loan and it still shows up.

Who can help me in this situation.
