I will put this as short as possible.

I was investing in ICO (CryptoPING) (PING), when it was ICO, got my tokens on Waves wallet and transfered to Cryptopia exchange. To keep them there for longer period.

I didn't login to site, nor check often website. I didn't nor have right now anything else on Cryptopia, thus no reason to login there, I know price of token on other websites, and I didn't have to login.

When price was ok, I was just checking tokens, and on my surprise no tokens there!

Contacted them, and their answer is that thay put notification on their webiste?

Please just imagine, I have 10 or more accounts, different categories etc, if I would need to check website for announcements every day, I would lose hours just reading those.

They didn't send me tokens back from where I sent them, they didn't contact me! Nothing!

Now they say it is not returnable, well those tokens are worth money, so basically they STOLE my money!

I understand Terms of Use and Policy...

AUTHOR: Tomislav - (Croatia)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 17, 2018

It is not that I'm not aware of policy! No that is bad policy that doesn't protect users!

It is in short BAD policy.

You should TAKE ALL in your power to contact user in regard to any changes to their ASSETS! You didn't contact me, you posted globaly. Not all news on your website is of my concer or connected to me or my account at your website!

You had right to do what you wrote in your policy, but your policy is bad, and I want other people to see it, and know about it!

It is like, you own private garage, and you posted on garage that you will demolish it, but didn't call me or send me a notice letter, or anything, just demolished your garage with MY car in it, well that car is private property, like TOKENS are, those are my TOKENS, and you had no right to TAKE them, or DELETE them, there should be trace of them, and you should return them to OWNER (ME) in any case, ... even if you close your website.

You exist because of users and traders, people like me, we put trust in your website, we make you profit, you take fees etc, so you basically take from us already, and that is not enough.

This is stealing, no matter of your policy. You can't expect in 2018 people to loign just to read your announcements!

I recommend to all people to TAKE tokens away from Cryptopia, to secure assets!

#1 Consumer Comment

User - by own admission failed to comply with the terms of use.

AUTHOR: CryptoFairy - (New Zealand)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Cryptopia provided a delist notice after serious issues with the wallet. WAVES / WAVES tokens delist notice

WAVES and all WAVES tokens have been delisted from Cryptopia due to the amount of unannounced hardforks/network protocol changes causing huge audit issues and financial losses to Cryptopia. All WAVES markets have been closed, users have until the 15/10/2017 to withdraw their tokens.

(Ping is a Waves Token)

Cryptopias' terms of use are:

You must make your own assessment of the suitability of the content for your own purposes. You are solely responsible for the actions you take in reliance on the content on, or accessed through, this site. We may change the content on this site at any time without prior notice.

Cryptopia Ltd. is not responsible for losses caused by outages, network volatility, wallet forks/maintenance or market conditions.

Amendments

We may amend these terms of use from time to time, so you should check and read these terms of use regularly. By continuing to use this site after any such amendment, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended terms of use.

(From their De-listing policy)

Coins may face delisting for the following reasons:

1. Sufficient nodes are not maintained to keep the network synced and moving.
2. A coinswap.
3. Any network issues or bugs that could result in loss of user funds.
4. Statements made by a coin or coin community that could bring the reputation of Cryptopia into disrepute.

Most exchanges will close the wallet one month after delisting. It is a common industry practice.

Coins are sometimes recoverable after the coin wallet has been removed. A manual payout has to be created. In some cases it is not possible.

A support ticket is needed to be made for a manual payout.  Most exchanges charge recovery costs in such circumstances. Often it is uneconomical to recover a value of under $1000.

User admits: I didn't login to site, nor check often website. I didn't nor have right now anything else on Cryptopia, thus no reason to login there, I know price of token on other websites, and I didn't have to login.

By their own admission they failed to comply with the terms of use.

I use Cryptopias' Website and have had no issues with them. A lot of users don't bother to read anything, have no understanding of Crypto, no patience, no manners and take no responsibility for their own actions.

Trading Crypto is not a consumer product. It is a financial transaction with the aim of making a profit. Most users are by definition commercial traders.
