The red flags pop up as soon as you walk in the door. The company has a "system" that they say will only help you move up within the company. It takes advantage of young and ambitious men and women and uses their ambition to keep them working for minimal pay and long hours. I, myself, made quite of bit of money at a Cydcor ICL. In all reality it is a franchise. The "owners" of these ICLs (Independent Corporate Licensee) will drive the idea that you have the ability to work your way up to "own" your own business, however, when you finally do make it to that point, Cydcor forces you to sign over power of attorney to YOUR bank account. Of course you worked so hard for so little pay and finally can see the end of the tunnel you will not say no to this proposition because you are so far invested. The company makes you save $10,000 in a corporate account in order to open your own office somewhere. They claim its to help your business, but I'm reality it's their profit margin on you just in case you decide to bail out. Now as far as day to day practices go, the morning "meetings" are always designed to make sure everyone thinks the exact same way. They force you to hang out with your like minded coworkers outside the office in order to move up within the company. They say it's to build relationships but they try their best to make sure you don't go much more than 24 hours without contact with people from the company so you don't develop that dangerous independent thought that you should have. I won't speak on other offices, but the office I worked in openly practiced age discrimination. In many of our meetings used to teach recruiting, the partners explicitly said we do not hire anyone over 40. Why? People who have actual real world experience can smell bullshit and will blow the cover to everyone else. This is nothing but a scam and to be honest I am still currently working in it. I honestly do not know why I am still with my current ICL. I guess it's just professional curiosity at this point.
