Cynthia Cathcart, Today's Gourmet, Take Two Catering, Cafe Danielle, Seasoning's Catering Scam Scam Scam - Bad Record - Doesn't Pay Staff OR Bills! Dallas Texas

Cynthia Cathcart hired my staffing company to staff an event she had planned and catered. She requested 6 ladies to serve beverages throughout the venue. On the day of the event, I showed up with my 6 team members and set off to work. We set up the bars, we toured the venue, and they were given assignments. All was well (or so I thought) so I left to go setup another event we were having that night and left my staff members to do their duties.

During the event, one of my staff members got ill and had to leave. The other ladies pulled up the slack and the party went off smoothly. I got phone calls and text messages from my team members after the event to give me a follow up.

"She [Cynthia Cathcart] was a raging b***h."

"The caterers were late (and didn't show up) so she [Cynthia Cathcart] had us cooking the food in our cocktail dresses."

"She [Cynthia Cathcart] kept telling us that we were doing a horrible job and that she would never hire us again."

I would like to point out that my company has NEVER received a bad review from anyone. So, I attempted to call her and speak with her the next day to get her feedback. I left a message. A few days go by, I email her the invoice and ask for prompt payment. Ignored. A couple of weeks more and 10 or so phone calls. No answer, no reply.

About 2 months after the event, I decided to call the business in which the event was for. I spoke with the manager, who was very helpful and said that she had paid Cynthia Cathcart that night in cash for an amount almost 3x my fee for my staff. The manager then said she would call Cynthia Cathcart and see if she could find out any information.

The manager called me back and said that Cynthia Cathcart had said that she paid my girls directly (which is against the terms of the contract she signed) and an out right LIE.

I have since paid my staff and have sent numerous emails, left numerous voicemails, and have sent numerous certified letters to the 6 or so addresses that I have found online.

I got ahold of her last week on the phone and she pretended to be someone else. I called from a different number and it was actually [Cynthia Cathcart] instead of the false name she had given me only a minute before. She said she didn't do an event in October and she didn't know what I was talking about.

After about 5 minutes of explaining myself, she goes "Oh yeah, the client and I were unhappy with your service, so I don't feel like I should have to pay you." OH REALLY?

So, I forwarded her an email from her client, which read such excerpts as "we were completely satisfied with your staff", "they were such a delight", and "we will be contacting you DIRECTLY for our events."

I have recently discovered over 12 liens in her name and her various business names filed at the Dallas County Clerks office. She has numerous mechanics liens, she owes Highland Park ISD money, a couple of entertainment companies have sued her, as well as the State of Texas. Cynthia Cathcart does bad business, Dallas, TX.

It is now going on 5 months in which she has not paid up. My only option is to shame her name online and file suit against her.

Heed my warning - DO NOT HIRE HER - DO NOT WORK FOR HER - and definitely - DO NOT REFER HER. Cynthia Cathcart is a scam!!! Cynthia Cathcart is a fraud!!! Cynthia Cathcart should never be hired!
