The claim is made that donating to this charity (referred to as 'qRO') will help cancer victims . The page can be found at www.qro-forums.net/prostate

On the page, they have a link to donate at. I went to the link to find more information and I was rather offended to not see ANY mention of how the money they are collecting will help cancer victims. Instead i find out that the claim they had made, to help cancer victims, was actually going to fund a gaming server and, as stated in their forums and blogs, to aid in the owner's purchase of alcoholic beverages.

I asked on their forums if they could explain how the money goes to help the cancer victims, and how i was distraught to see them boasting about how the donations buy them beer and pay for their gaming server. i asked them to give information as to whether their cancer-afflicted friend was doing any better and how the money was being used to help them, like what kind of therapies and so on.

the response i got to my post of me asking these questions was my post being deleted, and my account being banned for 27 years, therefore effectively blocking me from asking such questions or voicing my concern about their possible fraudulent activities.

They have tried to silence me when i have legitimate questions and so i can only assume
that they are NOT using these funds to help cancer victims. That has led me to file this report.

Thank-you for you time in reading this.

UPDATE

AUTHOR: Brandon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 11, 2007

I have not seen any information regarding cancer charity or funds any longer on the websites. Hopefully this means that David Lessard and/or qRO is no longer trying to deceive the public in order to fraudulently collect money.

I highly suggest that people stay away from this person/organization due to the fact that they had fraudulently tried to collect money previously, and there is no telling if or when they will return to such illegal activities.

qro-forums.net/prostate is still active but still re-directs to qro-forums.net/lawyers - Be careful with this person/qRO

David Lessard qRO and the google ad claims of a cancer fund

AUTHOR: William - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2007

A rebuttal was posted by the very suspicious-sounding "Yeah from Farmtown".

In the rebuttal, it was stated by an ex-employee named 'Yeah' that all clicks generated by the google ads would go directly to a cancer fund. A friend and myself decided to check the validity of this claim, since we were pretty sure this was not the case, given all the events in which the qRO staff has proven to lack positive credibility.

I sent an email to google's adsense department and pointed them to the rebuttal made here on Ripoff Report, asking them to investigate the validity of this claim that the click-throughs were indeed going to a cancer fund.

Of course since the Google AdSense department is constantly busy, a personal reply to this inquery is not available. However, a couple of weeks after my email to Google's AdSense department, qRO has since had their AdSense account suspended, which leads me to believe that I was right in assuming the statment made regarding the Google Ads were to a cancer fund was a completely outright lie.

The Official Word, directly from the qRO Admin's own website:
".. google ads detected "invalid clicks" and will probably refuse to pay us, wich we don't know why :S ", almost as if they are making light of seriously fraudulent activites.

the link http://qro-forums.net/prostate/ (which was discovered to be flooded with 'keywords' to generate cancer research ads) now redirects to http://qro-forums.net/lawyers/ (which is still flooded with keywords, but this time for lawyers).

Be careful in regards to ANY dealings with this website, as they have been caught lying on several occasions and it seems very hard to accept their explanations as truthful. This follow-up report to the rebuttal from 'Yeah' of 'Farm Town' should be a good indication of how truthful qRO, David Lessard and his staff/ex-staff truly are.

What's really going on

AUTHOR: Yeah - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 01, 2007

The site you have linked has links to ads that when clicked, donate money to a cancer fund. The text clearly states that you can donate to "help fund cancer research", however qRO is not trying to be the recipient of these cancer donations.

The donations that qRO does recieve go to funding a privately run Ragnarok server. It has nothing to do with cancer research.
