Debt Mediations Trying to get me to pay for debt that is not mine Jacksonville Florida

My sister was the first person to receive a call from a Tyler at Mediations stating they were about to garnish my husband and I wages for a payday loan that we took out.  When I contacted the company and asked for Tyler I was told there wasnt anyone there by that name.  I explained what he told my sister and then I was transferred to Courtney.  Courtney explained that they bought my debt from a company and that I know owe them for a payday loan.  I told her I havent taken out any loan and that I would need to see the original contract or any other proof that I owe them.

I was transferred to her supervisor who told me that they didnt have anything to send to me other than the settlement offer they wanted to discuss.  Because this has never happened to me I panicked and set up a payment plan and provided my bank info.  Once I got off the call I did a little research and found out that other people had compalined of being ripped off.  I read my rights as a consumer and called the company back and stated that I had contacted my bank to make sure no money is issed to them until they can prove that this is my debt.

I received three different calls after that saying they tried to process payment but it didnt go through and they were getting ready to process paperwork to take me to court.  I then mailed a letter( to the PO Box on the settlement letter I received) asking for Validation of Debt and havent heard anything else from then as of today.
