We sent a check for 50% upfront, we did not hear back from him for almost 2 weeks. We tried getting in touch with him to let him know someone bought the house and we no longer needed his services.  Houston Texas

Hello As stated in the Report Above, My Name is Aaron Barrentine, I am one of the owners of Dependable Construction.

I would like to clear things up on this complaint and tell the full story..

   We where first Contacted by Sunniverse Bank to provide a estimate for a home in Deer park, TX. When at the sight of said estimate, no one met us there, we where told to write a estimate on what we thought needed to be done.  We wrote our original Estimate for Above $40k witch was a extensive amount of work to be done at the property.

After two weeks or so we recieved a email back from Sunniverse, Mind you every comunication between us was from a diffrent person in there company every time. we where informed they would like to except our price for a few of the tasks totaling way below the original estimate. We wrote the new estimate and sent it to suniverse for acceptance witch we promptly recieved back, as well as comfirmation that a check would be mailed to our office.

we made it clear and where in agreeance, since there was never any physicle contact with this virtual company we would need to recieve the money first. after recieveing the first draw we would start work immidiatly. after two weeks and multiple emails we never heard back from sunniverse or any parties, untill the day after we cashed there check! they never once called or emailed untill we sent a email specificly stateing "we have recieved your check and need the new door code to gain entry to the home" we then went on to explain we would start the following day and have allready set our crew aside, as well as purchased the materials, witch included paint that was non returnable. 

  At this point sunniverse finally responded to us, and said they sold the house and didnt need us for the inside, "but could have us give a bid for the exterior" we sent this next bid that was higher than the alloted Dollar amount at this time. we never recived comfirmation on the new price and the go ahead.. again at this point we still have never met any one in there company face to face, or anyone representing the homes or anything of the sort, what so ever.

   After yet about another week or so of us emailing them asking what they wanted to do, becouse at this point we where already dedicated to the project, have had to pay our guys that where at the first home waiting to work as well as non returnable materials. we finally heard back and where asked to go look at a interior paint job in pearland.

  Again we went to propertly alone, never met with any body from there company and where told to give a price on what we thought needed done. and yet again the work exceeded the original amount agreed on, we sent this estimate, and followed up a few times, we never heard back...

  Huricane harvey happend at this point, we then got very pre ocupied and never heard back from sunniverse and quite honeslty we did not reach back ut to them at this point as there was a natural desaster. now dateing up to post huricane harvey, sunniverse calls my personal cell phone out of the blue threatining us that we need to return the money imidiatly by personal check. we said no we will not we will provide a cashiers check and repeadidly told them we would not meet anywhere but a plice station. They refused. They are lieing above. After some very harsh words on both sides, includeing this bank that i never gave any personal information to, told me they would ruin my reputation, told me they had my date of birth ( witch is obviously inacurate) seeing as im not 25... as well as they had my home address new my social, my familys names, addresses and personal info.....

After all of this crazieness was done over phone and email.. we finaly agreed to make a deal, witch was reasonable seeing as we where told to do three seprate projects one of witch being cancled after buying materials for there project, and wasteing our crews time and our money.... we agreed to pay back a agreed dollar amount, witch we have a reciept for the cashiers check we gave them, as well as we have written comunication and agreements that all debts where settled and all parties where satisfied.

 I am writeing this response in detail becouse i feel this was a direct attack on pour company and myself persoanly, when there was no just couse, we have proof everythign stated above is completely and utterly inacurate... in That matter its border line slander and defimation of charactor.

Lastly as stated above, no we are not scared to go to court, but it will not be over us taking some persons money, this is a corporation, not some inocent home owner, and therfe has been a leggally binding agreement between us and the writer above.

We do request this be taken down before further action is taken.
